5 Viral F&B Brands Coming to Singapore: What Is Confirmed (2026)

Five viral F&B names are heading to Singapore according to our carousel: Chipotle, Hama-Sushi, I'm Donut?, Matsuya and O/sio. We checked each against the brand's own channels or the mall's own directory on 20 October 2026, and three are confirmed with a place or a date: I'm Donut? at ION Orchard in December 2026, Matsuya at Suntec City listed as coming soon, and Chipotle in 2027 with no location yet. Hama-Sushi and O/sio are not confirmed by any official source we could find, so we say so below instead of guessing.

In this article
  1. Chipotle: 2027, location not announced
  2. I'm Donut?: ION Orchard, December 2026
  3. Matsuya: Suntec City, listed as coming soon
  4. Hama-Sushi and O/sio: in our post, not confirmed yet

Chipotle: 2027, location not announced

Known for the burrito bowl you build down a line, with that guac on top. Chipotle's own press release of 2 September 2026 says it opened its first Asian restaurant in Seoul that day with partner Sangmidang Holdings, formerly SPC Group, plans two more in South Korea by the end of 2026, and then its first restaurant in Singapore in 2027. No address, no month. The original September 2025 announcement had said 2026, so this is a one-year slip.

Our take: every Singaporean who has flown through LAX has a Chipotle opinion, and the first week will be a queue of them finding out whether the bowl survives a $15-plus price. Still want to try it. The cover photo of this post, by the way, is the Harajuku queue at Age.3, which opens its own first Singapore outlet at ION Orchard in November 2026, covered in our Age.3 piece.

I'm Donut?: ION Orchard, December 2026

The Tokyo doughnut shop with the question mark and the queues, known for soft, pillowy nama doughnuts that look more like a brioche than a ring. The brand's own Singapore Instagram, @imdonut.sgp, now carries one line in its bio: coming to ION Orchard, December 2026. No exact date, no menu, no prices yet. Our post said 2026 and that holds.

Our take: with Age.3 landing at the same mall a month earlier, ION's basement is going to be the most queued-for floor in Orchard this Christmas. Go on a weekday, early. We first wrote about the brand in I'm Donut? Singapore: what we know and will update that piece once a date lands.

Matsuya: Suntec City, listed as coming soon

Matsuya is the gyudon chain you order from a ticket machine in Japan, the one that is cheap, quick and somehow better than it should be. Suntec City's own dining directory lists "MATSUYA (Coming Soon)" at #B1-149, which is the mall's own confirmation that it is happening. Our post says November 2026. Matsuya's own website has no Singapore announcement yet, so treat the month as a target, not a date.

Our take: Suntec already has a Sukiya, so this basement is about to become a beef bowl face-off, and that is good for all of us. The one in Japan is pretty good and affordable, honestly. The question is whether the Singapore price keeps that second word.

Hama-Sushi and O/sio: in our post, not confirmed yet

Hama-Sushi is Zensho's conveyor belt sushi chain, and our post had it opening at Pasir Ris Mall in November 2026. We could not find that anywhere official. Zensho's own brand page lists Hama-sushi overseas in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam, not Singapore, and Pasir Ris Mall's directory has no listing. Until one of them says so, we are leaving it off the confirmed list.

O/sio is the sister restaurant of sio pasta, the Raffles City pasta spot by chef Shusaku Toba, and our post had it opening in Tanjong Pagar in November 2026. An @osio_singapore account went live in mid-October and is posting steak, pasta and pizza, which tells you it is coming, but we could not read an address or an opening date from the brand itself. We will add both back here the moment there is something official.

Good to know

· Follow the brand's own Singapore Instagram, not reposts. Dates change, and the bio is where they change first.

· Opening weeks of imports like these mean queues. Weekday morning, or wait a month.

· ION Orchard B-levels sit right on Orchard MRT, so a Thursday morning Age.3 then I'm Donut? run is the move this Christmas.

FAQs

Is Chipotle opening in Singapore?

Yes. Chipotle's own 2 September 2026 press release says its first Singapore restaurant will open in 2027, after its Seoul launch. No location or month has been announced.

When is I'm Donut? opening in Singapore?

December 2026 at ION Orchard, according to the bio of the brand's own Singapore Instagram account, @imdonut.sgp. No exact date yet.

Where will Matsuya be in Singapore?

Suntec City's dining directory lists Matsuya as coming soon at #B1-149. Our post says November 2026, but Matsuya has not published a date.

Is Hama-Sushi coming to Singapore?

Not confirmed. As of 20 October 2026 neither Zensho's brand page nor Pasir Ris Mall's directory lists a Singapore Hama-Sushi, so we are not treating the November 2026 Pasir Ris Mall opening in our post as confirmed.
