The five student food deals on our October 2026 list are McDonald's at 10% off, Rocku Yakiniku at 20% off weekday afternoons, TWS at 20% off plus an extra 10% from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays, Boost at 15% off on Wednesdays and BananaBro at 15% off after 3pm on weekdays. Every one of them needs a valid student card at the counter, and most come with a time window or an item limit.
This is part 1 of our Malaysia student list, posted with Eventful MY. If you study in Singapore instead, the local version is our student meal deals in Singapore guide.
The short version: McDonald's 10% off at selected outlets. Rocku Yakiniku 20% off, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. TWS 20% off any day, 30% off if you come 3pm to 6pm on a weekday. Boost 15% off any flavour, Wednesdays only, up to 5 items. BananaBro 15% off a set that comes with a drink, after 3pm on weekdays, up to 3 sets.
TWS, short for The Windmill Station, is a Dutch-founded western chain, hence the little flags on the plates. Its own promotions page lists the student offer as an extra 10% off during happy hour, 3pm to 6pm on weekdays, and its poster puts the total at 30%. Outside those hours our slide has it at 20% off, Monday to Sunday.
The catch for KL students is the map. TWS has three outlets in Melaka (Melaka Raya, Bukit Beruang and Kota Laksamana) and one in Batu Pahat, Johor. The Melaka outlets open 11am to 10pm daily, Batu Pahat 12pm to 10.30pm. If you are at a Melaka campus, this is the one to use.
Rocku Yakiniku is the Japanese grill-your-own place with outlets in KL and Selangor. On our slide the student deal is 20% off with a valid student pass, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. That is the cheaper daytime slot anyway, so a free afternoon between classes is when it pays off. Rocku's menu includes pork, so it is not a halal option.
McDonald's is 10% off with a valid student card at selected outlets only. Neither brand lists the student offer on a page we could open on 7 Oct 2026, so treat these as what was on our slides in October 2026 and ask at the counter before you order.
Boost is 15% off any flavour with a student pass, but only on Wednesdays and only up to 5 items. So it works for a group order, not for a whole class.
BananaBro's banana leaf deal on our slide is 15% off a set that comes with a drink, with a student pass and ID card, after 3pm on weekdays, limit 3 sets. BananaBro changes its student offers often: a September 2026 post from the brand, as reposted by EverydayOnSales, describes a group version that goes from 10% off for one Craving Set and drink up to 30% off for three or more. Ask which one your outlet is running.
· Bring the physical student card. Most of these ask for a valid student pass, and BananaBro also wants an ID card.
· Go in the time window. Rocku is 11am to 5pm on weekdays, TWS and BananaBro are best after 3pm on weekdays.
· Boost caps the discount at 5 items, so split a big group order into two.
· Ask at the counter before ordering. Student deals in Malaysia change outlet by outlet.
On our October 2026 list, TWS (The Windmill Station) gives the most: 20% off for students, plus an extra 10% from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays, so 30% in total. Its outlets are in Melaka and Batu Pahat, Johor.
Yes. All five on our list ask for a valid student card or student pass at the counter, and BananaBro also asks for an ID card.
Not on our slide. The Rocku Yakiniku student deal we listed is 20% off Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, with a valid student pass.
On our slide, Boost gives students 15% off any flavour every Wednesday, up to 5 items, with a valid student pass. Check at the outlet before ordering.
