How the free Sos Cili bottle swap works

McDonald's Malaysia posted the rules on its own Instagram on 19 October: bring one Sos Cili Mekdi packet that you have kept, hand it over, and you get one bottle free. Date is 21 October 2026, time is 8pm, place is Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, in front of H&M. The graphic says 500 bottles only, one bottle per person, one packet per bottle, product shown for illustration, terms and conditions apply. The same graphic puts the bottle at 44 packets' worth of sauce and carries the Disahkan Halal mark. So the maths is one tiny packet in, 44 packets out. Where Lot 10 is and when to turn up

Lot 10 is the green mall at 50 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, right at the Bukit Bintang MRT and Monorail stop, with the H&M on the street corner. McDonald's says 8pm, but 500 bottles for a city that takes its chilli packets this seriously will not last 500 minutes. Be there by 7pm with your packet in your pocket, not in your bag at the bottom of a pile of receipts. Bringing a second packet gets you nothing, the official rule is one bottle per person.

Will McDonald's sell the Sos Cili bottle after this

Not announced. The post calls it a first and says stocks are limited, and the comments under it are mostly Malaysians asking them to just sell it in every branch.
