Things to Do in Tampines (2026): Malls, Our Tampines Hub, Pool

The best things to do around Tampines MRT are swimming at Tampines Swimming Complex on Level 6 of Our Tampines Hub (8am to 9.30pm, closed Tuesdays), catching a film at GV Tampines or GV Century Square, and the arcades at Cow Play Cow Moo in Century Square (10am to 11pm daily). Tampines Mall, Tampines 1 and Century Square all open 10am to 10pm, and we checked every detail here with the malls and ActiveSG on 15 October 2026.

ActiveSG lists it as open 8am to 9.30pm daily except Tuesday, when it is closed unless it is a public holiday. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday it also opens 6.30am to 8am, training pool only. It is a sheltered pool. Check the ActiveSG app for entry fees.
Who it suits: families and lap swimmers. Our take: a sheltered pool is the right call in a haze or rain season.
Tampines Regional Library and the rest of the hub
Our Tampines Hub also houses Tampines Regional Library and The Hawker Centre @ Our Tampines Hub, so a swim, a library run and lunch can all happen under one roof. Library hours are on NLB's website; check before you go.
Our take: this building is the reason Tampines is a full day out, not just a mall stop.
Cinemas: GV Tampines and GV Century Square
Tampines has two Golden Village cinemas. GV Tampines is in Tampines Mall at #04-17 to 18, and GV Century Square is at #05-11/11A.
Our take: two cinemas a short walk apart means a second chance if a show sells out.
Arcades and claw machines
Cow Play Cow Moo at Century Square (#04-07/20/21) opens 10am to 11pm daily. Play United, a claw-machine arcade, is at Century Square #02-23 (11am to 10pm). Tampines 1 has Fun Claw and Odoroki at #03-20, and Timezone has an outlet at Our Tampines Hub, #B1-13.
Who it suits: teens and kids. Our take: Cow Play Cow Moo's 11pm close makes it the late option.
Toys and books for kids
Tampines Mall has TOYS"R"US (#03-17A), the LEGO Certified Store (#03-20 to 21) and POPULAR (#03-17), all on Level 3. Tampines 1 has Pop Play Planet for collectibles at #02-01.
Our take: Level 3 of Tampines Mall is where the birthday-present run ends.

· Tampines Mall is 2 to 3 minutes from Tampines MRT and 3 to 5 minutes from the Downtown Line station.
