Tampines Mall opened in 1995 and is the original of the three malls that now sit shoulder to shoulder in Tampines Central. It is the everyday one: FairPrice supermarket, Golden Village cinema, Kopitiam food court, and a basement full of kiosks that the whole east side runs on.
Basement 1 is the eating floor: 27 of the 51 places are down there and 19 of them are kiosks, which is why it is fast and cheap. Level 4 is the sit-down cluster next to the food court. Unit numbers on everything below.

1. Seorae Jib / Pocha! Korean Street Dining
A dual concept in the basement: Korean barbecue on one side, street food and pocha snacks on the other. Good for a group that wants to graze. Seorae Jib's own locations page lists it at #B1-02.
2. Legendary Hong Kong
Hong Kong cafe food in the basement. Roast meats, milk tea, claypot rice, and it goes on late enough to be dinner.
3. Cut Butchery
A butcher in a mall basement, importing to restaurants and selling to you as well. Worth knowing about if you are cooking rather than eating out.
4. Tanjong Rhu Pau
Traditional pau from a name that has been doing it a long time. Cheap, filling, and good for the bus home. Their own outlet list has this kiosk open from 8am, two hours before the mall, so it is a breakfast stop too.
5. Ging Sun Ho King of Bun
Shanghainese buns and dumplings from a basement kiosk. Sheng jian bao with the crisp bottom, eaten standing up. Their own store page lists 11am to 9.30pm, so it is not a breakfast stop.
6. Lee Wee & Brothers
Otah and nasi lemak from a halal certified kiosk. The otah is the thing: fish paste with their own spice mix, steamed in a pandan leaf wrapper, by their own description. 10am to 10pm, takeaway only, by their outlet list.
7. Kuan Zhai Alley 宽窄巷子
Sichuan street food across three units on Level 1. Cold dishes, noodles, and a proper mala hit if you order for it.
8. Lola's
Coffee done unfussily, in a mall where most of the coffee comes from a chain. The mall lists it at #01-50 and #02-32; Lola's own site gives #01-50, open 10am on weekdays and 9am at weekends, last order 9.30pm.
9. Din Tai Fung
Xiao long bao on Level 2, and the busiest restaurant in the building at weekend lunch. Din Tai Fung's own contact page lists this outlet at #02-01. Put your name down and go shopping.
10. PUTIEN
Fujian Heng Hwa cooking, and the best proper meal in the mall. Stir fried yam, fried bee hoon, and it holds up against the town outlets.
11. Seoul Garden
Korean barbecue and steamboat buffet, halal certified, on Level 4. The birthday dinner default in this part of the island.
12. IM QALB by Pun Im
Thai Malay, and one of the more interesting kitchens in the mall rather than another chain. Level 4.
13. Wingstop
Wings by flavour, halal certified. Their own listing has the chain at over 2,000 locations, and it tastes the same in all of them, which is the point.
14. Kopitiam
The Level 4 food court, and where most of the mall actually eats. Local hawker stalls at hawker prices.
15. So Pho
Vietnamese pho, halal certified. Light, quick, and the option when everyone else is having something heavy. So Pho's own store list has it at 11am to 10pm, last order 9.30pm.
