Things to Do at Funan (2026): Climbing Wall, Rooftop Farm, GV

The best things to do at Funan are climbing at Climb Central on B2 ($38.20 for an adult first-timer, gear included), visiting the Level 7 urban farm and the rooftop garden (open 10am to 10pm daily; CapitaLand's FAQ lists no charge), and cycling straight through the mall on its indoor bike path. Funan is open 10am to 10pm and links underground to City Hall MRT; we checked these details with CapitaLand and the operators on 15 October 2026.

The climbing gym opens 11am to 11pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm on weekends and public holidays. First-timer sets include registration, entry and harness and shoes: $38.20 for an adult, $32.70 for a youth aged 13 to 17, and $44.70 for an adult with one child aged 4 to 12 (one set of rental gear included; the child must be over 16kg and 1m). Returning adults pay $31.40 for entry at Funan. Everyone new gets a 15 to 30 minute safety briefing, and you bring your own socks.

Who it suits: total beginners, date nights, parents with primary school kids (one adult can supervise two). Our take: the most fun you can have in a mall for under $40.

Urban Farm (Level 7) and Roof Garden (Level R)

The Urban Farm is on Level 7 through Lobby A, and the Roof Garden is on Level R through Lobby B. Both are open 10am to 10pm daily; CapitaLand's FAQ lists no charge. You can bring food up to the roof garden and use the benches and tables, but no picnic mats or sitting on the grass, and no pets. The BBQ pit is not open for public booking.

Who it suits: office lunches, couples, anyone needing air. Our take: buy takeaway downstairs from our Funan food guide and eat it up here.

The indoor cycling path

Funan lets you ride through the building on a one-way indoor path. You enter only from the North Bridge Road entrance, the speed limit is 10km/h, and on Level 1 you walk your bike. Bikes can only use Lift FL3. There are 62 bike lots on Level 1 near the Bike Hub, and CapitaStar members can use the showers there. No overnight bike parking from 11pm to 6am.

Who it suits: cycling commuters and Brompton owners, with Brompton Junction at #01-26 and its workshop at #01-12. Our take: few malls plan for bikes this seriously.

Golden Village Funan (#05-01)

GV Funan has the Deluxe Plus hall, with reclining leatherette seats and USB charging at each seat.

Our take: Deluxe Plus is the comfortable middle ground between a normal hall and Gold Class.

VR, sim racing and flight simulators

OVERWORLD (#04-14), new to Funan, has VR free roam, a Floor Is Lava game, XR party games and private rooms with consoles and board games. TOPSPEED Racing Club (#03-K09) runs car racing simulators, and Flight Experience (#03-K05) runs flight simulators.

Who it suits: groups of friends, team bonding, teens. Our take: book ahead for groups.

Karaoke and theatre

Pure K (#04-01 to 06 and #04-27) is a karaoke brand with large immersive screens in private rooms and Taiwanese food to order while you sing. WILD RICE's theatre is at #04-08; check its site for what is playing.

Our take: dinner, show and karaoke without leaving the building is very Funan.
