Punggol Central Bazaar Sep 2025: Is the $17 Striploin Katok Worth It

Punggol Central Bazaar Sep 2025: Is the $17 Striploin Katok Worth It

The Punggol Central bazaar ran from 12 September to 11 October 2025, 12pm to 10pm daily, on the open field beside Punggol Central Fire Station at Blk 637 Punggol Drive, organised by TLK Events. The thing to order was the Striploin Katok at $17, and our honest line was that it is steep for pasar malam food but really good. The run has ended, so this page is what the northeast's biggest night market of that month looked like, and where the same organiser is set up now.

This one has finished.

It ran until 11 October 2025. We keep the page up because people still search for it and the details are worth having, but do not make the trip on the strength of this article. For what is actually on right now, see things to do this weekend.

The Striploin Katok at $17

The name nods to nasi katok, the Bruneian rice and sambal plate, with a striploin steak as the headline. Seventeen dollars is a lot for a pasar malam plate, and we said so in the reel. It was also the one thing from our visit we flagged as really good, not just good for a night market. If one person in the group is paying $17 for one thing, this is the one.

For the cheaper end of the same circuit, our Sengkang pasar malam price list from January 2026 has Thai tea at $4 and vadai at five for $6.50, and our Hougang pasar malam prices cover the stop after that. Both are the same organiser, same stall pool, so they are a fair guide to what the rest of Punggol Central cost.

What the field was like at night

Our cover frame is the reason people went: a grid of fairy lights over the whole field, paper lanterns in every colour, a lit umbrella, cherry-blossom light trees and a glowing Food Street sign over long rows of bench tables. The on-screen caption just said northeast side, and the field was full of it. It opened at noon, but it is a night market, and the lights are the point.

The organiser's collab posts counted over 45 stalls plus carnival rides and games, and billed it as Punggol's biggest night market. The warning is the same one we give for Sengkang: get a seat first, then queue, and take the bus rather than drive. An open field beside a fire station is not a place with bazaar parking.

Is the Punggol pasar malam on now

Not this one, but the organiser is back in Punggol. When we checked TLK Events' own Instagram on 20 October 2026, the current poster was a Punggol MRT pasar malam beside Waterway Point from 30 September to 31 October 2026, with Ministry of Spud, Sugar Mama Lah and Skuqa Bites all listing it in their bios. That is a different site from the fire-station field, closer to the MRT.

Punggol gets a TLK bazaar every few months at one site or another. We also covered the Sumang pasar malam at Blk 218 in December 2025, and for the malls around here our northeast Singapore malls rated covers Waterway Point and Punggol Coast.

Good to know

· If you are paying $17 for one thing, make it the Striploin Katok. Everything else is standard pasar malam fare.

· Go after dark for the lights, but send one person ahead to hold a bench table on weekends.

· Take the bus. An open field beside a fire station has no bazaar parking.

· This run has ended. Check @tlkevents for the current Punggol site and dates before heading down.
