Sumang Pasar Malam Punggol 2025: What We Ate at Blk 218

The Sumang Pasar Malam was a TLK Events night market at Blk 218 in Punggol, Sumang Walk side, that ran over the December 2025 holidays until 5 January 2026. We filmed our pick of the best stuff on 9 December. It has ended.

In this article
  1. What we got at Sumang Pasar Malam
  2. Where it was and how long it ran
  3. Is it coming back

What we got at Sumang Pasar Malam

Our reel opened on one table, which is the honest way to do a pasar malam: a bowl of mac and cheese with spring onions, a bowl of saucy chicken chunks, a box of sesame fried chicken in a sticky red glaze, something pink and torched under a pile of seaweed flakes, and two green drinks sweating in the heat.

That spread is basically the modern pasar malam in one photo. Fewer Ramly burgers, more rice bowls and cheese. If you want to argue about which classics still deserve the queue, our pasar malam food tier list has opinions.

Where it was and how long it ran

Blk 218 sits on Sumang Walk in Punggol West, a short walk from the Punggol West LRT loop. Our caption put the run till 5 January 2026, so it covered Christmas and New Year, which is when these neighbourhood markets do their best business.

It was run by TLK Events (@tlkevents), one of the regular organisers behind the pasar malams that pop up next to Punggol and other MRT stations. The same month we also covered the Woodlands MRT pasar malam with stall prices.

Is it coming back

We have not seen a new date for a Sumang edition, so we are not going to guess. Neighbourhood markets like this rarely announce far ahead. Follow @tlkevents and @eventful_sg and you will hear about the next one.

At a glance

๐Ÿ“Location: Punggol Blk 218
๐Ÿ—“๏ธWhen: Till 5th Jan 2026

Good to know

ยท Go after 7pm on a weekday if you want the hot food without the weekend crowd.

ยท Share bowls. Three people and four dishes beats one person and one big box.

ยท Have PayNow ready, and some cash as backup for the smaller stalls.
