Sengkang Pasar Malam Jan 2026: What We Ate and the Stall Prices

The Sengkang pasar malam came back beside Compass One and Sengkang MRT for 16 January to 16 February 2026, and we walked the stalls in its opening days. Thai tea was $4 for 700ml, vadai went 5 for $6.50 and the loaded potatoes ran $7 to $10. Here is everything we tried and what each thing cost when we went.

In this article

  2. How much things cost when we went
  3. Was the food worth it

What we tried at the Sengkang pasar malam

Our reel opened on a braised meat tray piled with pork belly, trotters and chicken feet, then went straight to a basket of fried stuff coated in so much garlic and chilli you could smell it through the screen. Next came a dessert tub of crispy shredded pastry with molten chocolate ladled over the top, and a grill of minced pork skewers being turned over one by one.

We also queued at Kōri Matcha for a strawberry matcha latte, the green layer poured over milk and a red strawberry base. If you want to know how these regulars stack up against each other, our pasar malam food tier list ranks the usual pasar malam food from S-tier down.

How much things cost when we went

These are the prices on the stall boards in our footage, so they are January 2026 prices, not today's.

Ah Moi Thai Tea charged $4 for 700ml and $5 for 1000ml, with popcorn, candy floss and potato wheel at $2.50 each. Original Vadai, the yellow stall with "Since 1989" in lights, sold any 5 vadai for $6.50.

Supa Deck did loaded baked potatoes: Papa Beans $7, Beef Chilli $8, Mac and Cheese $8, BBQ Sausage $8, Buffalo Chicken $9 and Pulled Beef $10. That stall was the priciest thing we saw, and also the one with the most food in the box.

Was the food worth it

Our honest line in the reel was that the food this time was not bad at the spots we tried, and we stand by the lukewarm wording. The roast meat bowl and the chocolate dessert were the two we would go back for. The rest was solid pasar malam fare at pasar malam prices.

We wrote up the layout, the cleanliness and the games area separately in our Sengkang pasar malam review, so this page sticks to the food and the money.
