Holland Village eats in four clusters around Holland Village MRT on the Circle Line: the Lorong Mambong and Lorong Liput strip with its small food centre, the One Holland Village mall, the quiet cafes of Chip Bee Gardens, and the HDB blocks on Holland Drive, where three MICHELIN Bib Gourmand stalls sit. Go to the village strip for bagels, Italian and a drink, the mall for a family meal with air-con, and Holland Drive for the hawker food. Holland Drive Market & Food Centre is a walk from Buona Vista MRT, so you can finish there and take the train home.

The Holland Village shop has two bagels you will not find on their other menus. What She Ordered is battered fish, cheddar, tartar sauce and sambal ijo for $18, and What He Ordered is a double beef patty with smoked cheese and tomato bacon jam for $25. Last order is 3.15pm, so this is breakfast or lunch only.
The cheap end of Holland V, right in the middle of the bar strip. NEA counts 21 cooked food stalls here above a wet market, and says the centre goes back to the pre-war years. It is small by hawker standards, so on a weekday lunch grab a seat before you order.
Sit-down Italian on the main Lorong Mambong strip, with part of the menu cooked in their bronze oven. Order the lasagna from the oven ($24) or the truffle taglierini ($32), and save room for tiramisu ($13). On weekdays the kitchen closes from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, so a late lunch will not work.
The Holland V bar that has been on Lorong Mambong since January 1993, by its own count, and the latest bar hours on this walk (to 1am Thu to Sun by its site). A customer review quoted on their site calls the wings the thing to order, and there is live music on level one. Bookings are by WhatsApp and only for arrivals before 7pm.
The Italian deli and cafe in Raffles Holland V, open from 8am. Come for a coffee and a pastry before the bars wake up, or pick up something from the deli counter for dinner at home. It is the fallback when Two Men has a queue.
The safe pick for a family lunch, on the ground floor of One Holland Village. The mall's own listing names the steamed pork xiao long bao and the steamed chicken soup as the signatures, and that is the order. Per the mall directory, last orders are 9pm most nights, even though the doors stay open to 10pm.
Da Paolo's casual trattoria on the ground floor of One Holland Village: fresh pasta, pizza and gelato, with outdoor seats. The mall's listing says most dishes are under $30 and that pets are welcome, which makes it the easy dinner when the dog is coming too.
Cantonese for a big table, on level 2 of One Holland Village. Dim sum, congee, roast meats and sizzling wok dishes, all made for sharing. It opens at 10.30am on weekends and public holidays, half an hour earlier than on weekdays, so it works for a weekend dim sum brunch.
The halal pick for this area: VietSmith's One Holland Village outlet is on the MUIS list of halal-certified establishments. Order the beef pho and a few Saigon street snacks to share. It is on level 3, so take the lift instead of hunting for it on the ground floor.
The open wood-fire grill from the Bedrock team, on level 3 of One Holland Village. Meat and fish cooked over the fire is the point, so order off the grill. Lunch and dinner are separate sittings with a gap from 3pm to 6pm.
Cross Holland Avenue to Chip Bee Gardens for the quieter side of Holland V. Tiong Bahru Bakery's outlet here opens at 7.30am on weekdays, so it is the one for a pastry and coffee before work. Weekends start at 8am.
The other bakery cafe in Chip Bee Gardens, a few doors from Tiong Bahru Bakery, with outdoor tables under big umbrellas. Bread, pastries and coffee from 7.30am, and it closes at 7pm, so it is not a dinner spot. If Tiong Bahru Bakery is packed, walk over here.
A Bib Gourmand chicken rice stall in a Holland Drive coffeeshop, on the way to the Blk 44 food centre. The MICHELIN Guide write-up praises the tender chicken, the oily rice and the ground ginger sauce, and says to order the gizzards too. Closed on Mondays.
The reason locals walk past Holland V's bars to eat here. NEA lists 45 cooked food stalls upstairs above a wet market, and two of them hold a Bib Gourmand. Its two Bib Gourmand stalls keep short hours, so read their entries before you go.

The other Bib Gourmand upstairs at Blk 44: fishball noodles, soup or dry, with minced pork, pork balls and fish balls made by hand at the stall. The Michelin write-up singles out the yellowtail fish balls. This is a breakfast stall, open from 6.10am and done by 1pm, closed on Mondays.

Wala Wala Cafe Bar on Lorong Mambong runs until midnight from Monday to Wednesday and 1am from Thursday to Sunday. Most One Holland Village restaurants close at 10pm, with Fireplace by Bedrock open to 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
La Nonna on Lorong Mambong takes online reservations, and Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen at One Holland Village serves Cantonese food made for sharing. Wala Wala takes WhatsApp bookings for arrivals before 7pm.
One Holland Village has a basement car park, and its own page lists flat evening rates from 6pm plus weekend valet parking at Basement 1 for $5.
