Tiong Bahru's food centres on one building: Tiong Bahru Market at 30 Seng Poh Road, where NEA counts 83 cooked food stalls on the second floor and three of them hold a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for 2026. Around it, the low pre-war blocks on Yong Siak Street and Eng Hoon Street hold the bakeries and cafes. This guide lists 16 places in the estate.
It runs as a walk that also works as a day: bakeries near Tiong Bahru MRT in the morning, the market for lunch, Eng Hoon Street for dinner, and Sin Hoi Sai for supper. Tiong Bahru MRT on the East-West Line is about 10 minutes' walk from the market, and Havelock MRT on the Thomson-East Coast Line is a little closer, about 8 minutes. The mall at the station has its own list, our Tiong Bahru Plaza food guide.
Hours come from each venue's own site, or the stall's MICHELIN Guide page for the hawkers, checked on 15 October 2026. Many of the market's best stalls close by early afternoon and several rest on Mondays, so lunch on a Tuesday to Saturday is the safe plan.
