Terumbu at Chef X: Southern Islands Food From $11.90
Terumbu is Orang Laut SG’s café-style pop-up at Chef X, Clarke Quay Central. Open since 23 October, it brings Southern Islands family recipes into a walk-in dining setting, with dishes from $11.90.

The Pulau Bowl and bubur lambuk
The $15.90 Pulau Bowl puts three seafood dishes over rice: reef fish in asam pedas, squid cooked in its ink, and sambal prawns. Bubur lambuk tenggiri is a mackerel rice porridge with coconut milk and lemongrass. Choose prawns or squid at $11.90, or both at $13.90.
For other meals around the river, see our Boat Quay dining guide. Terumbu’s focus is specifically the food traditions of Singapore’s Southern Islands.
More than a menu
Founder Firdaus Sani’s mother and aunt, Nooraini and Rohaini, carry forward recipes shaped by life on Pulau Semakau. A community gallery accompanies the food, putting the dishes in the context of the people who cook them.
The venue lists Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 9pm, at #03-103 Clarke Quay Central. It is closed Sunday and Monday. Far East Malls currently lists the residency through 22 December; check the organiser before planning a late-December visit.
