At 3am on Thursday 15 October 2026, Singapore's 24-hour PSI was 125 to 207, in the Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy range, with the West highest at 207. NEA forecast Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy air for 15 October. Free N95 masks are going to vulnerable groups at Community Clubs and vending machines, and air-conditioned haze shelters are open at CCs.

These are NEA's readings for 3am on Thursday 15 October 2026. They change every hour, so for live numbers go to haze.gov.sg or the myENV app.
North: 24-hr PSI 125 (Unhealthy), 1-hr PM2.5 42 µg/m³ (Normal)
South: 24-hr PSI 158 (Unhealthy), 1-hr PM2.5 77 µg/m³ (Elevated)
East: 24-hr PSI 172 (Unhealthy), 1-hr PM2.5 80 µg/m³ (Elevated)
West: 24-hr PSI 207 (Very Unhealthy), 1-hr PM2.5 86 µg/m³ (Elevated)
Central: 24-hr PSI 185 (Unhealthy), 1-hr PM2.5 88 µg/m³ (Elevated)
For context: on 9 October the 24-hour PSI was 136 to 192 and NEA convened the 28-agency Haze Task Force. A 24-hour PSI above 200 is Very Unhealthy.
MOH's advice by 24-hour PSI, via HealthHub:
101 to 200 (Unhealthy): healthy people reduce prolonged or strenuous outdoor exertion. The elderly, pregnant women and children minimise it. People with chronic lung or heart disease avoid it.
201 to 300 (Very Unhealthy): healthy people avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor exertion. The elderly, pregnant women and children minimise outdoor activity. People with chronic lung or heart disease avoid outdoor activity.
Above 300 (Hazardous): healthy people minimise outdoor activity. Everyone else avoids it.
NEA says to use the 1-hour PM2.5 for what you do right now, and the 24-hour PSI forecast to plan tomorrow. HealthHub says N95 masks are not needed indoors or for short trips like bus stop to mall. NEA says healthy people outdoors for several hours may reduce exposure by wearing one above PSI 300. Above 200, the same goes for the elderly, pregnant women and people with heart or lung disease, who should also check with a doctor. Surgical masks do not filter fine particles. Indoors, close doors and windows when air gets worse; HealthHub says portable air purifiers can further reduce indoor particle levels.
If you are rearranging the week, see indoor workouts with prices and indoor things to do on a haze weekend.
From 14 October the Government started a phased handout of N95 masks, two per pack, collected with your NRIC. Someone else can collect for you with your NRIC.
At Community Clubs or vending machines at selected transport hubs, Social Service Offices and PA venues: Pioneer and Merdeka Generation, CHAS Orange and Blue card holders, Medical Fee Exemption Card holders and ComCare recipients.
At Community Clubs only: pregnant women, children aged 7 to 16, and people with medical conditions such as asthma.
Stock is replenished in phases, so check live availability on go.gov.sg/hazemask before you go.
Haze shelters are air-conditioned rooms at Community Clubs and selected RC and RN centres. Call your nearest CC for hours. If the 24-hour PSI goes Hazardous, CC shelters stay open until 10pm.

Preschools stop all outdoor and strenuous indoor activity when air is Very Unhealthy. MOE says lessons continue indoors with air purifiers and outdoor activities are avoided. NEA and MOM say healthy employees should avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor work once the PSI is Very Unhealthy, with masks or respirators if the work cannot be avoided.
From 15 October, ActiveSG closed outdoor and non-air-conditioned facilities at its West region sport centres. ActiveSG's banner said the other regions stayed open; check its closures list, which changes daily. The Kallang has also suspended its Water Sports Centre.
Nobody can give you a date. NEA forecasts only 24 hours ahead. Its outlook on 14 October at 6.04pm said dry weather would continue in fire-prone parts of the region, with "a continued risk of severe transboundary haze". The smoke is coming from fires in Kalimantan, pushed here by southeasterly winds. Check the forecast each evening.
· Check the 1-hour PM2.5 before you head out, not just the 24-hour PSI.
· HealthHub says a mask is not needed indoors or for short trips.
· Check go.gov.sg/hazemask for stock before you queue at a CC.

Not if you are healthy. HealthHub says healthy people may want one when outdoors for several hours at PSI above 300. Above 200, the same goes for the elderly, pregnant women and people with heart or lung disease, who should also check with a doctor.
