Who is C S Liew

Koocester's own event page describes C S Liew as one of Singapore's top entrepreneurs, working in agribusiness and M&A for four decades. The story it laid out: an expat career by 24, a jump from a corporate salary of over S$250,000 to his own company in 1998, the collapse of a US$30 million business, then a pivot into M&A and a roughly US$100 million international deal structured from Singapore.

What the Koocester event covered

The talk was billed as "30 Metres Ahead", after the line that he sprinted 30 metres ahead of his peers at 23. Registration and finger food opened at 6.30pm, the seminar started at 7pm, audience activities ran from 8.30pm, and networking with a buffet took over at 9pm until the 10pm close.

Koocester pitched it at investors, consultants, SME owners and corporate staff thinking about going on their own. The page also said he was open to meeting venture capital, private equity and family office people, which tells you who the evening was really for.

Tickets and how it sold

Our post listed tickets at S$88 each, registered through Luma. The Luma page now shows the event as sold out, with around 30 people marked as attending. Dress code was smart casual. Koocester also told attendees it was giving away $3,000 to the community that night, exclusive to those in the room.
