By our own maths, every pasar malam we visit takes about two months off our lifespan, and the Tampines MRT bazaar in August 2025 was no exception. It ran from 15 August to 13 September 2025 beside Tampines MRT on the East West Line, and we went anyway, fully aware of the cost. The on-screen verdict was blunter: at this rate we are going to become obese.
It ran until 13 September 2025. We keep the page up because people still search for it and the details are worth having, but do not make the trip on the strength of this article. For what is actually on right now, see things to do this weekend.
The logic is simple. One bazaar visit means one matcha, one loaded box of something covered in cheese and sauce, and then a second round because the stall next door looked better. Multiply by every pasar malam in Singapore and the numbers stop looking good.
If you want the serious version, with the five stalls ranked in order, that is in our Tampines MRT bazaar best stalls ranking. This page is the confession, not the scorecard.
Our post tagged five stalls: Ministry of Spud, Matcha Kaki, Famous Mini Pancake, Wok Hei Burger and Cheeky Signatures. The opening shot is two Matcha Kaki drinks next to a box that is mostly cheese, sauce and sesame, which tells you how the evening went.
TLK Events, who run the pasar malam at the Tampines MRT site, were tagged as the organiser. If the queues at Ministry of Spud look familiar, it is because they turn up at a lot of heartland bazaars, and we have a whole pasar malam tier list on what is worth queueing for.
Honestly, yes. Tampines is one of the easier bazaars to get to, right beside the MRT, so there is no long walk to burn anything off and no excuse not to go. Our one warning: share. Every box at these stalls is sized for two, and ordering five of them alone is how the lifespan maths gets worse.
ยท Go with friends and split every box. Five stalls for one person is a lot.
ยท Grab the drink last so it is still cold when you sit down.
ยท This edition ended on 13 September 2025. Watch @eventful_sg for the next round.
