Bedok Mall sits on top of Bedok MRT and the bus interchange, which makes it the single busiest transfer point in the east and the reason the food here skews fast, cheap and good at feeding people who are on their way somewhere.
Almost everything worth eating is in the two basements. Basement 2 in particular is a long run of kiosks and small counters. Level 1 has the sit down restaurants along the external frontage. Unit numbers on everything below.

The list, floor by floor
1. Jollibee
Filipino fried chicken and spaghetti, halal certified. It is not what you expect and the Chickenjoy is genuinely good.
2. Avocadoria
Their own listing calls it the first international outlet of an avocado focused concept. Toasts and bowls, and a different thing entirely from the rest of this basement.
3. Paradise Classic
Local classics done as a restaurant rather than a hawker stall. Good for a family meal where the grandparents get a say.
4. Canton Paradise
Hong Kong style roasts and congee in Basement 2. Reliable, and open through the afternoon when a lot of things are not.
5. Sanook Kitchen
Halal Thai in the basement, cheap and quick, and the safe answer for a group that cannot decide.
6. SGFR Store
A candy store rather than a meal, and their own listing calls it Singapore's leading one. Useful bribery for the walk home.
7. Eastern Rice Dumpling
A third generation bak chang shop. Buy a few, keep them in the freezer, thank yourself later.
8. Ji Xiang Everton
The Everton Park ang ku kueh, running since 1988, in a mall kiosk. The peanut one is the one.
9. Sushiro
Conveyor belt sushi from Japan's biggest kaiten chain, in the basement. Cheap plates, fast turnover, and a queue system worth joining before you shop.
10. Saap Saap Thai
The other halal Thai option, kiosk format. Boat noodles and grilled chicken.
11. Encik Tan
Halal certified hawker style food court in the basement, and the easiest way to feed a mixed group in Bedok without anyone compromising.
12. Yakiniku Shokudo
Halal certified Japanese barbecue, which is a rare thing, and the reason a lot of families come up to Basement 1 at all. You grill the beef and chicken yourself at the table.
13. 4Fingers Crispy Chicken
Korean style crispy chicken, halal certified, in the basement. Soy garlic over hot, always.
14. Dian Xiao Er
Herbal roast duck, which is the dish this chain built itself on, and a proper sit down Chinese meal on Level 1. Order the duck and the yam ring.
15. Gochi-So Shokudo
Japanese tonkatsu on Level 1, the pork cutlet fried to order and served with rice and a bowl of miso. It is the sit down Japanese option that does not need a booking.
16. Tun Xiang Hokkien Delights
Hokkien food at what their own listing calls affordable prices, on Level 1. Popiah, oyster omelette, the old dishes.
17. Shanghai Tan Pan-Fried Buns
Sheng jian bao with the crisp bottoms, at affordable prices. Eat them at the counter while they are still too hot.
