The best food in Tampines East is within about 13 minutes' walk of Tampines East MRT (DT33) on the Downtown Line, in two clusters: the Blk 201 shops and coffeeshops on Tampines Street 21 and 23, and the blocks on Tampines Street 42 to 45. These 14 picks go in that order, by street and block, and finish at Tampines Mart on Tampines Street 32.

It is a different trip from Tampines MRT. The three malls and the hawker centre at Our Tampines Hub are around Tampines MRT on the East-West Line, about 1km west, and each mall has its own guide: Tampines Mall, Tampines 1 and Century Square. Tampines Street 81 and 82 are closer to Tampines West MRT, so they sit in our Tampines West guide. Out here you eat in neighbourhood coffeeshops, plus a halal Western cafe and a prata restaurant whose own site says its first outlet opened in Tampines in 2005.

Every stall name and unit below was checked on 15 October 2026 against the CDC Vouchers merchant list (updated 14 October 2026), MUIS's halal register or the venue's own site. Most coffeeshop stalls here do not publish their hours, and where we could not confirm them we say so. Walking times are our estimates from the station.
