13. Refuel Cafe
The neighbourhood cafe from a brand founded in September 2014, per their own site. All-day brunch, pasta and proper coffee in an HDB corner unit. A safer bet than a hawker centre if you need a table for a laptop or a long catch-up.

The best food in Bedok sits in four clusters, not one: Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre beside Bedok MRT, the Bedok North markets at Blk 216, 511 and 538, plus the coffeeshops at Blk 416 and 531, Bedok 85 (Fengshan) for supper, and the Simpang Bedok strip near Tanah Merah MRT for prata after midnight. This guide starts at the MRT, heads north through the Bedok North markets and Bedok 85, and ends on Bedok Road for supper.
Three of the stalls below were on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list when we checked in October 2026. Hawker hours here change often and many stalls do not post them, so where a stall has no published hours we say so instead of guessing. Bedok Mall has its own guide, linked at the bottom.
We checked hours and addresses on 15 October 2026 against each venue's own site or socials, Michelin's listings, NEA's hawker centre list or JTC's stall list. Where a stall publishes nothing, the entry says so.
The first stop off the train, right next to the bus interchange. Breakfast is the strong suit here, with the chwee kueh stall Michelin has listed since 2019 and a famous curry noodle stall a few rows apart. Lunch is the crush, as at most hawker centres beside an MRT, so come before 11.30am if you want a table without hovering.
The chwee kueh stall that made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list in 2019. It is in the 2026 Michelin Guide as a Plate listing now, not a Bib Gourmand. Soft steamed rice cakes under a heap of salty chye poh, with chilli if you want it. It is a breakfast food, so come in the morning rather than after lunch.
JTC's stall notes say it was listed by Michelin in 2019 and that its first outlet is right here. Order the curry chicken noodle. The satay bee hoon is the other order.
A specialty coffee bar inside the Blk 216 market, which means espresso a few steps from your hawker breakfast. Good for a proper coffee to carry while you queue elsewhere in the market.
Most people call it Bedok 85, and it is one of the east's best-known supper hawker centres. Come in the evening, when the supper stalls are open.
Soup bak chor mee, which is what its own page leads with. Closed on Thursdays. That focus is the point. If you like your bak chor mee in a pork broth rather than tossed in vinegar and chilli, start here.
One stall over from Xing Ji. Their own pages say they have been at Bedok 85 since 1985, and their Instagram also lists outlets at Fernvale CC and Lucky Plaza. Order one bowl from each stall and decide for yourself.
Smooth Cantonese porridge for the supper crowd. Their Instagram runs the stall as a night stall; check it for current timings. Add a raw egg and stir it in while the porridge is still hot.
A Bib Gourmand bak chor mee stall that gets less attention than the Bedok 85 pair. It sits in a market that is usually easier to find a seat in. Pair it with the black chicken soup below and you have covered two Bib stalls in one trip.
Herbal black chicken soup, on the Bib Gourmand list when we checked. This is herbal soup in the full sense, so go if you like that bitter, warming taste.
A new 24-hour coffeeshop by its own Instagram bio, in Bedok North. Useful when Bedok 85 is closing and you still want kopi and something fried. Individual stalls keep their own hours, so the late-night choice is smaller than the daytime one.
Ignore the name, it is in Bedok. It was on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list when we checked in October 2026, so go outside the lunch hour if you can. Michelin's write-up says you choose between Spanish mackerel, red grouper and regular grouper, and also rates the poached and fried sliced fish versions.

The Simpang Bedok supper name most people know: a long halal menu, nasi goreng included. Spize's own site calls it a halal restaurant. Weekend nights are its busiest, so come before the late crowd if you want a table outside.
The 24-hour answer when everything else on Bedok Road has closed. Their own pages describe it as 24/7 halal multi-cuisine, from prata to Thai to Arabic plates. Order prata and teh and you will not go wrong at any hour.
Waffles and ice cream until 2am, which makes it the dessert stop after prata. Their Instagram lists it as Muslim-owned. It suits groups who want somewhere to sit and talk after supper rather than another plate of food.
Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre is two minutes from Bedok MRT and has Bedok Chwee Kueh (#01-19) and Hock Hai (Hong Lim) Curry Chicken Noodle (#01-58). The Blk 216 market, about eight minutes away, adds Generation Coffee Roasters for specialty coffee.
Bedok 85 (Fengshan Market & Food Centre, 85 Bedok North St 4) is the supper centre, with bak chor mee and pork porridge into the night. For late supper, Simpang Bedok on Bedok Road has Spize and the 24-hour Syed Cafe, about seven to eight minutes from Tanah Merah MRT.
Yes. Spize's own site calls it a halal restaurant, and Syed Cafe describes itself as 24/7 halal, both on Bedok Road at Simpang Bedok. No Talk Talk Cafe nearby lists itself as Muslim-owned rather than certified. Check the certificate at the counter if it matters to you.
When we checked in October 2026, Michelin's Bib Gourmand list included Boon Keng Road Fish Head Bee Hoon (416 Bedok North Ave 2), and Tian Nan Xing Minced Pork Noodle and Seng Kee Black Chicken Herbal Soup, both at Kaki Bukit 511 Market & Food Centre.
Yes. Bedok 85 is the local name for Fengshan Market & Food Centre at 85 Bedok North St 4. The nearest MRT is Bedok Reservoir, about a 14-minute walk.
The cheapest-feeling meals are at the hawker centres, such as chwee kueh at Bedok Interchange, bak chor mee at Bedok 85 and Kaki Bukit 511, and kopi at Jofa Coffeeshop. Prices change often, so check the stall board.
