Hougang's food is at its south end. Kovan, around Kovan MRT, has the market, the coffee shops on Upper Serangoon Road and the late-night nasi lemak, while Lorong Ah Soo's Hainanese Village Centre is a 15-minute walk away. Hougang Central, by Hougang MRT and Hougang Mall, rounds it off with cheap hawker plates.
