Punggol's best food is split between two newer hawker centres and one old seafront strip. One Punggol Hawker Centre sits beside Sam Kee LRT, Punggol Coast Hawker Centre is three minutes from Punggol Coast MRT, and The Punggol Settlement is an 11-minute walk further on, at the water's edge.

This guide runs in that order, from the town centre out to the sea, with two cafes in between. Waterway Point mall has its own guide, linked at the bottom. Oasis Terraces at 681 Punggol Drive, by Oasis LRT, has a food court too, but we could not confirm its current stall list, so it is not in the picks below.

We checked hours and addresses on 15 October 2026 against each venue's own site or socials, Michelin's listings, NEA's hawker centre list or JTC's stall list. Where a stall publishes nothing, the entry says so.

The list

1. One Punggol Hawker Centre

OPEN1 Punggol Drive, Level 2 (Sam Kee LRT, 2 min)

The town-centre hawker centre, inside the One Punggol building with the library. It changed operators in August 2026. Read the stall boards rather than trusting an old list. It is the easy weekday lunch for the town centre.

2. Punggol Coast Hawker Centre

OPEN84 Punggol Way, #02-55 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

Opened on 25 July 2025 with 40 stalls and 576 seats, per JTC, and it is the one with more famous names on JTC's stall list. JTC grouped the stalls into old favourites brought back ('Lost and Found'), new hawkers and known outlets. Go in with a plan below, because 40 stalls in one sweep is a lot.

3. Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee & Seafood

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K81 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

JTC's stall list calls this the Hokkien mee whose Whampoa Drive stall holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Bee hoon and yellow noodles fried with prawns and squid, and JTC singles out their homemade chilli, so take it.

4. South Buona Vista Braised Duck

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K59 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

The 'lost and found' story of this hawker centre. JTC's notes say the owner learned Teochew braised duck from a relative behind the 1968 South Buona Vista Road shop, ran his own shop at Desker Road that closed over rent in 2023, then returned here, per JTC's stall list. Order the duck rice.

5. Deen Mee Combo House

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K57 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

JTC tagged it halal at opening, and it is the Indian Muslim stall for mee goreng and kway teow goreng. JTC also points to the tulang merah if you are sharing. Messy food, so grab extra tissue before you sit down.

6. Monster Chili Mala Hotpot

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K63 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

Mala for groups that include Muslim friends. JTC's stall list says Monster Chilli makes its own halal-certified mala paste and calls it Singapore's first halal-certified mala hotpot. Pick your ingredients, then choose the spice level carefully.

7. 75 Ah Balling Peanut Soup

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K83 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

Dessert after the duck rice. JTC's notes trace the family business to a 1947 pushcart on Jalan Sultan and to Golden Mile stall 01-75, which gave it the name. Glutinous rice balls in peanut soup is the order.

8. Kopi Kiosk

OPENPunggol Coast Hawker Centre, #02-K89 (Punggol Coast MRT, 3 min)

A $2.80 breakfast, per JTC's stall list. When the centre opened, JTC listed the kaya toast, two soft-boiled eggs and kopi set at $2.80, or $2.20 for NTUC members, from 7am to 11am. Check the board for today's price before you order.

9. Woke by Wake The Crew

OPEN98 Punggol Way, #01-214, Punggol Coast Mall (Punggol Coast MRT, 4 min)

Specialty coffee in Punggol Digital District from the Wake The Crew team. It is at 98 Punggol Way, so it works as the coffee stop before or after the hawker centre.

10. Eat Here, Drink Here

CHECK BEFORE YOU GO60 Punggol East, #02-04 (Kadaloor or Riviera LRT, 7 min)

A cafe and bistro up on level 2 at 60 Punggol East, serving cafe plates. Check before a weekend visit, because their Facebook listing only shows weekday hours. It sits inside Punggol East Container Park, whose tenants were told in October 2026 that the site is winding down, so check it is still open before you go.

🍽 Cafe plates  ·  ⏰ Mon to Fri 12pm to 9pm by their Facebook listing; check before a weekend visit

11. House of White Bee Hoon

OPENThe Punggol Settlement, 500 New Punggol Rd, #01-10 (Punggol Coast MRT, 11 min)

The halal pick at the seafront. Their own ordering page describes MUIS halal-certified Chinese food, and the white bee hoon is the dish the place is named for. The Settlement's own page says they take no reservations, so come early on weekends.

🍽 White bee hoon, zi char · MUIS halal-certified  ·  ⏰ Lunch 11.30am to 2pm, dinner 5pm to 10pm by the Settlement's page; their ordering page lists slightly different hours

12. Siam Square Mookata

OPENThe Punggol Settlement, #02-01/02 (Punggol Coast MRT, 11 min)

Mookata upstairs at the Settlement, grilling by the sea instead of under an HDB block. The Settlement's tenant page lists it at 4pm to 3am. It is a group meal, so come with four or more.

🍽 Thai mookata · halal status not stated  ·  ⏰ Daily 4pm to 3am (Settlement tenant page)

13. Izakaya 95

OPENThe Punggol Settlement, #02-05 (Punggol Coast MRT, 11 min)

Yakitori and Japanese small plates with a sea view. This is an evening place: weekdays start at 5pm, while Saturday and Sunday open at 3pm.

🍽 Yakitori, Japanese small plates  ·  ⏰ Mon to Fri 5pm to 12am, Sat and Sun 3pm to 1am (their own site)

14. Trunk 95 At Bay

OPENThe Punggol Settlement, #02-06 (Punggol Coast MRT, 11 min)

Thai food on the second floor of the Settlement, next door to Izakaya 95. A good fallback when the mookata place is full, and easier for a couple than a grill meal.

Tandoor Lounge at Punggol

15. Tandoor Lounge

OPENThe Punggol Settlement, #02-11 (Punggol Coast MRT, 11 min)

North Indian cooking at the seafront, with tikkas and biryani leading their own menu. Their own site says the meat is halal-certified, which is not the same as a certified kitchen, so decide for yourself. Closed on Mondays (their own site); the Settlement's page shows different hours, so check before you go.

Quick answers

Which Punggol hawker centre is better, One Punggol or Punggol Coast?

Punggol Coast Hawker Centre (84 Punggol Way) has more of the well-known stall names: JTC's stall list at opening included a Bib Gourmand Hokkien mee, South Buona Vista Braised Duck and 75 Ah Balling. One Punggol (1 Punggol Drive) is the closer pick from Punggol's town centre and changed operators in August 2026.

How do I get to The Punggol Settlement?

The Punggol Settlement is at 500 New Punggol Road. It is about an 11-minute walk from Punggol Coast MRT.

Is there halal food in Punggol?

Yes. House of White Bee Hoon at The Punggol Settlement says on its own ordering page that it is MUIS halal-certified. At Punggol Coast Hawker Centre, JTC's stall list tagged Deen Mee Combo House and Monster Chili Mala Hotpot as halal. Check the certificate at the stall if it matters to you.

Where can I eat late in Punggol?

Izakaya 95 at The Punggol Settlement lists closing at midnight on weekdays and 1am on Saturday and Sunday on its own site. Most hawker stalls finish earlier; Punggol Coast Hawker Centre's centre hours run 6am to 10pm.

How much is breakfast at Punggol Coast Hawker Centre?

Kopi Kiosk at Punggol Coast Hawker Centre (#02-K89). JTC's stall list at opening priced its kaya toast, eggs and kopi set at $2.80, or $2.20 for NTUC members, from 7am to 11am. Check the stall board for the current price.

What about Waterway Point?

Waterway Point is the big mall next to Punggol MRT and it has its own Eventful guide with the full food directory, linked below this page.
