The closest food to the National Stadium is Kallang Wave Mall, next to Stadium MRT (CC6), with sit-down places like Sanook Kitchen (#01-16, 11am to 10pm) and Kei Kaisendon (#01-46, 11am to 10pm). Eat before you go in: outside food is not allowed into the Stadium, and most of the mall's restaurants close between 9pm and 10pm, often before a show lets out.

Stadium MRT (CC6) has direct access: Exit A for Gates 1 to 5 and 18 to 23, Exit B for Gates 6 to 17. The Kallang lists Tanjong Rhu (TE23) Exit 2 as about a 12-minute walk, and Mountbatten (CC7) and Kallang (EW10) as about 15 minutes.
