Ann Siang Hill works best as a two-stop night: eat at Maxwell Food Centre, Amoy Street Food Centre or a sit-down place on Amoy Street, then walk up to Ann Siang Road for drinks. Here is a plan built from places we have checked, with Brooklyn Bar at 14 Ann Siang Road as the drinks stop.

In this article
  1. Dinner first: cheap and close
  2. Dinner first: sit-down
  3. Drinks: Brooklyn Bar
  4. Something sweet to finish

Dinner first: cheap and close

Maxwell Food Centre, 1 Kadayanallur Street, is a couple of minutes from Maxwell MRT and a short walk to Ann Siang. Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice at #01-10/11 is closed on Mondays and cash only, which suits a Tuesday-to-Saturday bar night anyway.

Amoy Street Food Centre, 7 Maxwell Road, is the other option, but many stalls are weekday only. A Noodle Story at #01-39 runs Mon to Fri, 10am to 8pm. Our Chinatown food guide and Telok Ayer and Amoy guide list more stalls with hours.

Dinner first: sit-down

Kulto at 87 Amoy Street does Spanish tapas and Ibérico pork, Mon to Sat, 5.30pm to 10.30pm for dinner. The Feather Blade at 61 Tanjong Pagar Road does steak, dinner daily 5.30pm to 10.30pm.

Both are a short walk from Ann Siang Road. Book them if it is a Friday.

Drinks: Brooklyn Bar

Then walk up to Brooklyn Bar, 14 Ann Siang Road, #01-01. Hip-hop on the speakers, cocktails from $25, open Tuesday to Saturday until midnight. The Milo Old Fashioned at $26 is the one to try. Full list in our cocktail menu guide.

Still hungry? The bar does birria tacos at $21 and loaded fries at $19. Online bookings take 1 to 12 people, last seating 10.30pm, and Tuesday or Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm is 10% off through Eventful Tables. Brooklyn Bar serves alcohol, and in Singapore you must be 18 or older to buy or drink it. Bring ID.

Something sweet to finish

Overscoop at 55 Tanjong Pagar Road does mochi waffles and gelato from 2pm to 1.30am, and it is halal-certified, so it works for a mixed group. Earlier in the day, Mei Heong Yuen Dessert at 63-67 Temple Street does snow ice, Tue to Sun, 12pm to 9.30pm.

Both details come from our Tanjong Pagar food guide and Chinatown food guide, checked on 15 October 2026. Hours change, so check before you go.

Good to know

· Hawker stalls close early. Eat by 8pm, then drink.
