Things to Do in Singapore, June 2026: The Events We Picked for the Hols

June 2026 had five events worth the school holidays: Mercury Festival at Suntec (5 to 7 June, free), DOKI DOKI Anime Market (6 to 7 June, from $10), GastroBeats at Bayfront (5 to 28 June, free entry), i Light Singapore around Marina Bay (5 to 28 June, free) and ASIA Cat Expo (27 to 28 June, from $7). All five have finished. This is the record of what we picked and why, and it links to our on-the-ground coverage of each.

This one has finished.

It ran until 28 June 2026. We keep the page up because people still search for it and the details are worth having, but do not make the trip on the strength of this article. For what is actually on right now, see things to do this weekend.

The first weekend: Mercury Festival and DOKI DOKI

Mercury Festival ran 5 to 7 June, 11am to 8pm, free entry, and was the local-makers market: handmade jewellery, prints, small brands you only find at these things. We wrote it up as Mercury Festival: Lucid Dreams at Suntec. DOKI DOKI Anime Market was the same weekend, 6 to 7 June, 11am to 8pm, from $10 a ticket, for cosplayers and fandom merch. Both together made Suntec the place to be on that first Saturday of the hols.

The whole month: GastroBeats and i Light

GastroBeats ran 5 to 28 June at Bayfront, 4pm to 11pm, free entry, with the live music, carnival games and the viral food stalls it is known for. Our honest take from the ground is in GastroBeats 2026: $50 at Jett Barbecue, which tells you what free entry actually costs once you eat.

i Light Singapore ran the same dates around Marina Bay, free, and is the one to walk after GastroBeats because the installations are a ten-minute stroll away. Read our i Light 2026 guide for which pieces were worth the detour.

The last weekend: ASIA Cat Expo

27 to 28 June, 10am to 8pm, from $7, and the biggest cat-themed event of the year with booths, shows and more cats in strollers than you would think possible. We covered it in ASIA Cat Expo 2026 at Suntec.

For what is on now, our free events in Singapore this September is the live list, and the weekend guides update every week.
