When to go for breakfast

Timing matters here. NOMADS opens at 8:30am only on Fri, Sat and Sun. On Mon, Wed and Thu the doors open at 11am, so a weekday visit is an early lunch, not breakfast. Tuesday it is shut.

The early weekend slot is the one to aim for. The estate is quiet, the lawn is still cool, and the cyclists who ride Seletar's back roads have not all arrived yet. If you want the full background on the place, start with our first look at NOMADS.

What is on the Campground Breakfast menu

Bigman's Breakfast, $28: sourdough, bacon, beans, mushrooms, sausage, potatoes and eggs your way. Steak and Eggs, $28: ribeye with eggs and sourdough. Smashed Avocado on Toast, $26 with dukkah and pesto.

Cheaper: Scout Skillet Hash $23, Campout Pancakes $22, Moroccan Stew $20, Backpackers Breakfast Burrito $18 (it has fries inside), Camp Jaffles $18, Chef Power Bowl $16, Cheese Jaffles $15 and Vegemite Meltz $12.

Our pick for one hungry person is the Bigman's. For two, get the skillet hash and the burrito and swap halves.

Coffee and drinks

Espresso is $4.50, a latte or flat white $6, and oat, soy or almond milk is $1 more. The Buttercream Americano ($8, iced only) and the Milo Dinosaur ($9) are the ones the menu flags as favourites. A Yuzu Tonic is $7.

Everything is before GST and 10% service charge, so a $28 breakfast plus a latte comes to about $40.
