The two doughnuts, and which one is doing something different
The Pistachio Kreme is the safer one: a filled shell, green glaze, chopped pistachio on top and a pink and white drizzle. It tastes like pistachio ice cream in doughnut form.
The Pistachio Kunafa is the interesting one. Kunafa is the shredded pastry used in Middle Eastern desserts, toasted in butter until it crunches, and Krispy Kreme piles it on a ring doughnut with a white drizzle over it. The texture is the whole point: crunchy on top, soft underneath.

Price and how long it lasted
Our post listed $3.90 a piece. We are flagging that as our figure: Krispy Kreme's own creative for this drop carried no price, and their standard doughnuts sit between about $2.80 and $3.50, so a premium seasonal doughnut landing at $3.90 is plausible but not something they published.
No end date was announced either, only "limited time only, while stocks last". Pistachio kunafa did come back in the Krispy Kreme Autumn Series from 26 August 2026, so if you missed the June run there has already been a second chance.
The practical note: kunafa toppings go soft. Eat it the day you buy it, and do not refrigerate it overnight expecting the crunch to survive.
