Waterway Point sits on top of Punggol MRT/LRT station and the bus interchange, and it has 93 places to eat. For most of Punggol it is the default answer to where to eat, whether that is a family lunch in the school holidays or a coffee before the train.
The mall is two wings, East and West, and both have food from Basement 2 up, so every place below carries its wing as well as its unit number. All the Level 2 food sits in the West Wing, including the Cookhouse food court. For late food, McDonald's and Burger King both run to 2am by the mall's own listing.

The easy, no surprises cafe for Western breakfast plates and local sets. Han's own store list says it opens at 7am every day here, three hours before the mall itself, so it is the early meeting spot in the East Wing basement.

Mexican burritos, bowls and nachos in the West Wing basement. Their own site says breakfast runs 8am to 10.30am daily, so a breakfast burrito before the shops open is an option. Quick enough for a solo lunch on the way to the train.

Cantonese pastries and mooncakes, made by hand the same way since 1935, by their own account, with the lotus paste still made from lotus seeds in house. This is a box to take home, not a meal. Their site lists 10am to 9.30pm daily here.

Home of what they call The Original Sembawang White Beehoon, on their menu since 1999. It is a soft, wet, pale bee hoon with prawns and squid, with lime and chilli on the side. Squeeze the lime in first. Their own site lists 11am to 10pm here, last order 9.30pm.

Fujian food, lighter and cleaner than most Chinese restaurant cooking here. The mall listing names the dishes to order: the seafood lor mee with Fujian red mushroom, the 100 second stewed yellow croaker and the bian rou soup. A good table for three generations eating together.

The Taiwanese dumpling chain, on Level 1 of the West Wing. The xiao long bao and the fried rice with shrimp and egg are what the queue is for. Their own site says this outlet only takes bookings Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm to 7.30pm, and none on Friday, weekends or public holidays. So for a weekend dinner, come early or come ready to wait.

Teochew bak kut teh, so the soup is clear and peppery, not dark and herbal. Song Fa started as a pushcart in 1969, and their own site still tells that story. Get the pork ribs and a plate of you tiao to dunk. Opens 10.30am at weekends.

Vietnamese food: pho, banh mi and spring rolls. A bowl of pho is a quick, light lunch on a hot day. Their own site lists this outlet as 11am to 10pm, last order 9.30pm. The mall's directory flags it halal, but their site does not mention certification, so check at the counter if it matters.

Halal chicken rice from the Boon Tong Kee family, whose story started at a stall in Ai Hua Coffee Shop in 1979, by Chicken Ka Kee's own history page. The chicken rice is the reason to come, and the rest of the menu is local dishes for sharing. Handy when a group needs one halal table everyone is happy at.

Herbal roast duck, marinated in Chinese herbs and served with a herbal sauce. This is a family dinner place: order the duck for the middle of the table and build round it with vegetables and soup. Last order is 9pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30pm Friday to Sunday, by their outlet page.

Japanese conveyor belt sushi, East Wing Level 1. Kids love picking plates off the belt, so it is an easy family pick. Their own site says bookings are only taken through the Sushiro app, so book before you leave home instead of queueing at the door. Last order is 9.30pm.

Hong Kong dim sum, and the baked BBQ pork bun is the order. It is the dish the brand built its name on: a crumbly sweet top with char siu inside. It opens at 10am on weekends, so it works as a late breakfast too. Last orders are 30 minutes before closing.

Casual Italian, built around pasta made by hand and cooked to order, by their own description. The mall directory flags it halal, which makes it the easy sit-down pasta answer for a mixed group. Opens 11.30am.

The mall's food court, done up in a kampong theme that looks back at old Punggol. Next to the usual wanton mee and fish soup stalls, the mall listing mentions old school snacks like kueh tutu and muah chee. Koufu's own site lists 8am to 10pm daily, so this is the cheap breakfast stop too.

Old style Western food: charbroiled steaks, ribs and sizzling plates, running since 2004. It suits a family who wants a proper sit-down meal without fine dining prices. Their own site takes bookings for this outlet, which helps on a Saturday night.

Japanese curry rice on plates 35cm and 41cm across, their own numbers. You pick from five spice levels, so start low if you have not tried it before. The combo plates are big enough to share between two, which saves a bit.
The 16 above are the ones we would send a friend to. For completeness, here is the rest of Waterway Point's food directory, 77 more places, 93 in total. 27 of the 93 are halal certified. Unit numbers and halal certification come from Waterway Point's own store directory and are re-checked daily, last on 7 October 2026. Opening hours are the ones the directory publishes and change without notice.

Take the train to Punggol station (NE17 on the North East Line, PTC on the Punggol LRT). The mall's own directions say to use Exit A. Punggol bus interchange is connected to the mall as well.
The mall runs 10am to 10pm daily. Shops set their own hours inside that. McDonald's at West Wing #B2-07/K04 opens at 6am, Han's at East Wing #B2-01 and Mr Bean at West Wing #01-K01 at 7am, and Cookhouse by Koufu at West Wing #02-20 at 8am.
The mall's own directory lists two places as 24 hours: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at East Wing #01-27 and Encik Tan at East Wing #B2-03. Encik Tan's own outlet list does not currently show Waterway Point, so call before a late trip. For late food that is not 24 hours, McDonald's at West Wing #B2-07/K04 and Burger King at East Wing #01-26 both run to 2am by the mall's listing.
Yes, one: Cookhouse by Koufu at West Wing #02-20, open 8am to 10pm daily by Koufu's own site. It has a kampong theme and serves local food like wanton mee and fish soup.
Yes. 27 of the 93 places to eat at Waterway Point are flagged halal certified in the mall's own store directory: Auntie Anne's, Burger King, Chicken Ka Kee, Chocolate Origin & Cacaocat, Crave, Dough Culture, Dunkin' Donuts, Délifrance, Encik Tan, Famous Amos, Fish & Co., Jollibee, Mamma Mia Trattoria E Caffè, McDonald's, Mr Bean, Old Chang Kee, Pezzo, Polar Puffs & Cakes, PrimaDéli, Sanook Kitchen, So Pho, Stuff'd, Subway, SUKIYA, Swensen's, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and WOK HEY. We re-check that list daily, but certification is the shop's to hold, so look for the certificate at the counter if it matters to you.
Waterway Point is split into an East Wing and a West Wing, and both have food on Basement 2, Basement 1 and Level 1, so check the wing before the unit number. All the food on Level 2 is in the West Wing, including the Cookhouse food court. The West Wing also has Din Tai Fung, Tim Ho Wan, White Restaurant and Monster Curry. The East Wing has Sushiro, Song Fa, PUTIEN, Dian Xiao Er and Han's.
Yes, at West Wing #B2-07/K04, 6am to 2am by the mall's listing. Burger King is at East Wing #01-26, 8am to 2am. Both are flagged halal certified in the mall's directory.
