Punggol East's food is spread along the east LRT loop and the north shore: Punggol Plaza at Coral Edge LRT (PE3), Oasis Terraces at Oasis LRT (PE6), the two Northshore Plaza malls at Samudera LRT (PW4), then Punggol Coast Mall and The Punggol Settlement near Punggol Coast MRT (NE18). This guide runs in that order, from the estate to the sea.
Our Punggol guide covers the two big hawker centres and the seafront restaurants at The Punggol Settlement, so this page goes into the neighbourhood malls and coffeeshops it skips. Northshore is the part most people miss: two small malls by the water with Thai, a halal food court and a kaya toast breakfast. Coney Island Park has no carpark and NParks asks visitors not to hold plastic bags or water bottles there, and not to feed the monkeys, so eat at Northshore or The Punggol Settlement first.
We checked addresses and halal status on 15 October 2026 against MUIS's register, NEA's hawker list and each venue's own pages where they exist; where a stall publishes no hours, the entry says so.
A nasi padang stall in the Koufu food court at Punggol Plaza, right at Coral Edge LRT, that MUIS lists as halal-certified. Point at the rendang, sambal goreng and a vegetable, and you are done. Come at lunch for the fullest trays.
The cake shop at Punggol Plaza, listed by MUIS as halal-certified. A quick stop for a birthday cake or a box of buns on the way home from the LRT. Order ahead for anything with writing on it.
Handmade popiah and nasi lemak are the signatures on Qi Ji's own site, and the brand says its food follows halal standards. Last orders are 30 minutes before closing.
The breakfast spot at Northshore. Kopi, kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs before a walk along the Punggol waterfront. It opens at 7.30am.
The neighbourhood bakery at Northshore Plaza I, listed by MUIS as halal-certified. Buns and bread for the next morning's breakfast. Go in the evening for the end-of-day selection, or the morning for the full shelves.
Thai street food, which is how their own Instagram describes it, and MUIS lists this outlet as halal-certified. A good sit-down dinner for a mixed group by the water. Order a tom yum and a stir-fry to share.
The food court one floor up at Northshore Plaza II. MUIS lists several counters here as halal-certified, including Ampang Yong Tau Foo, Seabay Delight Wok Delight, Monster Chili Mala Hot Pot and The Kiosk. Stall names come from MUIS's register, so check which counters are trading. Good when everyone wants something different.
A neighbourhood coffeeshop at Punggol Point Woods, five minutes from Punggol Coast MRT. MUIS lists its stall 8, Dou, as halal-certified at this unit. Useful before or after the Punggol Point Park walk.
A coffee counter on Punggol Coast Mall's ground floor, with its unit per the Punggol Digital District shop page. Grab a coffee before heading towards the Punggol Point waterfront. Quick and done in a few minutes.
A Korean restaurant upstairs at Punggol Coast Mall that MUIS lists as halal-certified. A good pick for a mixed group. Share a few mains and the side dishes.
On Punggol Coast Mall's ground floor, and MUIS-listed at this unit.
Two kut teh brands that MUIS lists at the same unit and under the same certificate as House of White Bee Hoon, which is in our Punggol guide.
Use the LRT. Coral Edge (PE3) is beside Punggol Plaza, Oasis (PE6) beside Oasis Terraces, and Samudera (PW4) is two to four minutes from Northshore Plaza I and II. Punggol Coast MRT (NE18) is at Punggol Coast Mall.
Yes. MUIS lists Asam Tree Nasi Padang, Primadeli, Swee Heng 1989 Classic, Pratunam by Soi Thai Soi Nice, several counters at the Northshore Plaza II food court, Ha-Jun Korean, Anna's x Union The Soup Spoon and the kut teh counter at The Punggol Settlement as halal-certified. Check the certificate at the counter if it matters to you.
Eat at Northshore Plaza or The Punggol Settlement first. NParks says Coney Island Park is open 7am to 7pm, has no carparks, and asks visitors not to feed the monkeys or hold plastic bags or water bottles in the park.
Fun Toast at Northshore Plaza I opens at 7.30am, per its own outlet page, and Qi Ji at Oasis Terraces opens at 8am, per its own site.
The Northshore Plaza II food court has many counters under one roof, and Pratunam by Soi Thai Soi Nice and Ha-Jun Korean are sit-down options for a mixed group.
NParks says the nearest carpark to Coney Island Park is at The Punggol Settlement. For Northshore Plaza, the LRT to Samudera is easier than driving.
