ION Orchard has 64 places to eat, right next to Orchard MRT by its own description. 37 of them are on Basement 4, and 10 are on MUIS's halal register, which we check because ION's own halal tags do not match it.
Basement 4 is the fast floor: Food Opera, Hawkers' Street, Din Tai Fung and a long run of bakeries and snack counters. Basement 3 has the casual sit-down chains, Sanook Kitchen and Poulet + Brasserie among them. Levels 3 and 4 are the restaurants, Imperial Treasure, Jumbo Seafood and Violet Oon. 1-Atico sits on Levels 55 and 56. Unit numbers and hours below come from ION's own directory.

Xiao long bao, pork chop fried rice and braised beef noodle soup, the dishes ION's listing names for this branch. It is the safe call for a family that cannot agree. ION's directory gives no hours for this outlet, so do not count on it before the mall opens at 10am. Not halal.
The big food court on Basement 4. ION's own dining guide counts 27 stalls and puts most meals under $15, with Hokkien mee, chicken rice and laksa on the list. Weekday lunch is busy from 12pm. Open 10am to 10pm by ION's directory.

Bak kwa, the charcoal-grilled sweet meat, which Lim Chee Guan has made since 1938 by its own account. A snack and a gift, not lunch. Basement 4, daily 10am to 10pm by ION's directory. Pork, so not one for halal diners.

Kaya toast and kopi. ION's directory lists it from 7.30am, an early sit-down breakfast in the building. The mall itself opens at 10am, so check the way in before you plan an early meeting here.

Ramen in a creamy chicken broth, toripaitan, not the usual pork bone, by Marutama's own story. A chicken-broth bowl. Daily 11.30am to 10pm by ION's directory, so it is not a 10am option. It is not on the MUIS halal register.
Tendon: a bowl of rice under tempura and sweet sauce. Tenya calls itself Japan's No.1 tendon chain. Daily 11am to 10pm by ION's directory. It is the quick bowl to grab when Food Opera is packed.

Freshly cooked pasta at fast-casual prices, by Twyst's own description, and on MUIS's halal register. Basement 4, daily 10am to 10pm by ION's directory. The easy answer when a group needs one halal option that everyone will eat.

A hawker hall on Basement 4. ION's own dining guide names Nam Sing Hokkien Mee, Famous Eunos Bak Chor Mee and Beach Road Scissors-Cut Curry Rice among its stalls, at roughly $5 to $12 a plate. ION's directory says last order is 9pm and Hawkers' Street's own site says it closes at 9pm, so do not leave dinner late.

Thai-style BBQ grilled to order with house-made dipping sauces, plus curries and soups, by ION's listing. On MUIS's halal register. Basement 3, daily 11am to 10pm by ION's directory.

French roast chicken, brined overnight, with mushroom cream, Diane, cranberry or black pepper sauce, by ION's listing. On MUIS's halal register. Basement 3, daily 11.30am to 10pm by ION's directory. Share a whole chicken between two and it goes further.

A Moroccan-style coffee room on Level 1 with over 200 coffees from 35 countries, by Bacha's own count, plus all-day food. Daily 9.30am to 10pm by ION's directory, one of the few places open before the mall. It is not a cheap cup, so come for the room as much as the coffee.

Over 1,000 teas by TWG's own count, with food and pastries that have tea in them. Level 2, daily 10am to 10pm by ION's directory. The polite afternoon option when shopping has run long and nobody wants a full meal.

Teochew cooking: steamed coral trout, chilled lobster, diced abalone in egg white skin, the dishes ION's listing names. ION's own dining guide says it holds one Michelin star and puts dinner at $100 to $150 a head (its text says $80 to $120, so expect the higher figure). Lunch runs 11.30am to 3pm on weekdays and dinner from 6pm, closed in between, so book.

Chilli crab with a view down Orchard Road, by ION's listing; ION's dining guide adds mantou to mop up the sauce. ION's own dining guide puts a meal at $60 to $100 a head, with crab at market price. Daily 11.30am to 10.30pm by ION's directory, later than the mall. Book a window seat for a group.

Nyonya food and local favourites from Violet Oon's own recipes, Level 4. Daily 12pm to 10pm by ION's directory, with high tea from 3pm to 5.30pm. It does not open until noon, so it is lunch or later.

Dinner 218m up on Levels 55 and 56: FIRE does Argentinian grill and FLNT does Japanese-Peruvian, by ION's listing. ION's own dining guide puts it at $150 or more a head. Daily 12pm to 11pm by ION's directory. Book ahead if you want the sunset tables.
The 16 above are the ones we would send a friend to. For completeness, here is the rest of ION Orchard's food directory, 48 more places, 64 in total. 10 of the 64 are halal certified. Unit numbers come from ION Orchard's own store directory, halal certification from MUIS's halal register, and are re-checked daily, last on 15 October 2026. Opening hours are the ones the directory publishes and change without notice.

Yes. We go by MUIS's public register of certified eating places, because ION Orchard's own directory tags do not match it. 10 of the 64 places to eat here are on it: Dunkin' Donuts, Lee Wee & Brothers, Old Chang Kee, Paris Baguette, Poulet + Brasserie, Rive Gauche Patisserie, Sanook Kitchen, Super Sushi, The Soup Spoon and Twyst. MUIS also lists Cinnabon at #B4-61, which ION's directory no longer shows. We re-check that list daily, but look for the certificate at the counter if it matters to you.
From ION's own site: Monday to Thursday, $2.73 for the first hour from 8am to 4.59pm, then $1.31 for every 30 minutes, and $3.05 per entry from 5pm to 11.59pm. For food, Food Opera and Din Tai Fung on Basement 4 are the easy family meals.
The mall closes at 10pm, but by ION's directory 1-Atico on Levels 55 and 56 and Imperial Treasure Fine Teochew Cuisine on Level 3 run to 11pm, Jumbo Seafood on Level 4 to 10.30pm, and 7-Eleven on Basement 2 to 11pm.
