Things to Do at Westgate (2026): Playground Closed, What's Left

Westgate Wonderland, the outdoor playground most families came for, has been closed since 17 February 2026, so the best things to do at Westgate now are Timezone on B1 (#B1-45 to 46), the kids' rides on Level 1 and Level 4, and an alfresco meal in The Courtyard. Westgate is open 10am to 10pm and connects directly to Jurong East MRT; we checked this with CapitaLand on 15 October 2026.

Westgate's own FAQ says Westgate Wonderland closed with effect from 17 February 2026, and the mall's page only says to stay tuned for what is next. If you are planning a kids' day around it, plan something else.

Our take: many older guides still list the playground. They are out of date. For lunch, our Westgate food guide has 18 picks and all 81 places listed.

Timezone Westgate (#B1-45 to 46)

Timezone has arcade games, claw machines and VR games on B1. It is the main indoor play option in the building now.

Who it suits: kids old enough to play the games, and teens. Our take: top up a card with a fixed amount, it goes fast.

Kiddy rides: Zoomoov and the Smiley World train

Zoomoov's safari-themed animal rides are at #04-K4. The Smiley World Train Ride is near Shake Shack (#01-20 to 22 and 33). Westgate also has a kids' shower room on Level 4 near NK Robotics (#04-18), and nursing rooms on B1 and Level 4.

Who it suits: toddlers. Our take: short rides, but enough to buy you 15 minutes of peace.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard is Westgate's naturally ventilated space with alfresco dining. It is the nicest part of the mall in the evening.

Who it suits: families and groups who want to sit outside. Our take: go after 6pm when it is cooler.

Shops worth browsing

Decathlon (#02-23 and 23A) covers sports gear, POPULAR (#04-26 to 27) covers books and assessment books, POP MART (#02-20) and Box Hunt (#04-34) cover collectibles, and Odoroki (#04-K2) has capsule toy machines.

Our take: Decathlon is the one adults will lose time in.

IMM next door, and the Jurong East hub

CapitaLand pitches Westgate and IMM as a two-in-one mall. IMM calls itself Singapore's largest outlet mall with more than 90 outlet stores. Westgate also links directly to Jurong East MRT, the bus interchange and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (via the Level 2 entrance).

Our take: do Westgate for food and kids, IMM for outlet bargains. Our IMM food guide covers its 57 places.

Does Westgate have a cinema?

No. Westgate's directory, checked on 15 October 2026, does not list a cinema.

· Evening parking from 6pm is a flat $3.25 per entry.

· Westgate's free shopper wifi ended on 1 April 2026.
