Things to Do at VivoCity (2026): Sentosa Express, Sky Park, Kids

Things to Do at VivoCity (2026): Sentosa Express, Sky Park, Kids

The best things to do at VivoCity are riding the Sentosa Express from Level 3 ($4 onto the island, trains from 7am to midnight), walking the rooftop Sky Park, and letting the kids loose at the open-air Play Court on Level 2. VivoCity is open 10am to 10pm daily above HarbourFront MRT, and these hours and prices were checked with VivoCity and Sentosa on 15 October 2026.

Sentosa Express from Level 3: fare and hours

The monorail station is at Lobby L, Level 3, and tickets are sold at the Sentosa Concourse on the same floor. The ride from VivoCity costs $4, and rides between stations on the island are free. Selected concession card holders, such as seniors and students, pay $2. Trains run from 7am to 12am and stop at Resorts World, Imbiah and Beach stations.

Who it suits: anyone heading to Sentosa without a car. Our take: it is the least stressful way over, especially with kids. Eat before you go, because our VivoCity food directory has all 153 places, including the 32 that are halal certified.

Walk to Sentosa instead (free, with one catch)

You can also walk over on the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity's Promenade side, starting at Lobby F on Level 1. Walking in is free. Part of the Boardwalk has been closed since 22 May 2025 for Resorts World's waterfront works, and Sentosa expects it to reopen in 2030. The RWS8 bus also leaves from the stop outside VivoCity on Telok Blangah Road.

Our take: fine on a cool evening, but on a hot afternoon with kids, pay the $4.

Sky Park on the roof (Level 3)

The Sky Park has a rooftop water feature the size of four Olympic pools, by VivoCity, plus an amphitheatre where local performers sometimes play. The public art is part of the fun: a gymnast sculpture swinging six metres above the water, the Punch Buddies figures and giant snowflakes on the roof. VivoCity's page lists no ticket for the Sky Park. VivoCity does not publish separate Sky Park hours, so treat the mall's 10am to 10pm as the guide.

Who it suits: families, couples, anyone with a camera. Our take: go near sunset, when the roof is cooler and the harbour light is good.

Play Court, the open-air playground (Level 2)

Play Court is VivoCity's outdoor playground on Level 2, and VivoCity lists no charge for it. The main nursing and baby room is right there too, near #02-94, with diaper stations and a hot water dispenser. ZOOMOOV's safari-themed electronic animal rides are also on Level 2 if the playground is not enough.

Who it suits: toddlers to primary school kids. Our take: open-air and next to the nursing room, which is what parents of toddlers actually need.

Golden Village VivoCity and Timezone

GV VivoCity sits at #02-30/03-04, across two levels. For games, Timezone VivoCity is at #02-43 with claw machines, arcade games and VR games. Both are good rainy-day backups.

Our take: book GV seats ahead on weekends, it is a family mall.

library@harbourfront (Level 3)

The public library at #03-05, Lobby F, Level 3 holds about 200,000 books and looks out towards Sentosa. The children's zone has a makerspace for ages three to nine. It opens 11am to 9pm daily except public holidays (hours may differ on the eve of public holidays), and there is a 24-hour book drop.

Who it suits: parents who need a quiet hour. Our take: the best free air-con in the mall.

The Promenade and public art

The 300-metre waterfront Promenade runs along the harbour with views to Sentosa. Look for Aphrodite's Roses, four giant red roses you can sit on, a six-metre Flower Tree and a 13-metre snowman peering up at the Sky Park. No tickets, by VivoCity's pages.
