Tenshima is a tempura omakase counter at Millenia Walk, and it won its first Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Singapore 2026. Its own menus list omakase lunch at $198 or $280 and omakase dinner at $450.
Tenshima was one of five restaurants to get a first star on 4 August 2026. Michelin said you can watch chef Shima control frying time and oil temperature from the counter, with each piece fried to order, and that the crust stays light and not greasy. The rest of the new names are in our Michelin Singapore 2026 list.
Head chef Takahiro Shima changes the batter and oil temperature day to day, depending on the ingredients and even the weather, according to the restaurant. Seasonal produce comes from around Japan.
Omakase lunch, $198: appetiser, palate cleanser, seven kinds of tempura, one specialty tempura, a choice of tendon or tencha, and dessert.
Omakase lunch, $280: the same with a signature appetiser and one extra signature tempura.
Omakase dinner, $450: three seasonal appetisers, palate cleanser, six kinds of tempura, three specialty tempura, one signature tempura, a choice of tendon, tencha or anagodon, and dessert. You can ask for the dinner menu at lunch too.
The menus do not say whether service charge and GST are on top, so ask when you book. $198 for a starred tempura lunch is one of the gentler ways into this year's new stars.
