Super Nintendo World Singapore: What We Know About the USS Land

Super Nintendo World is officially coming to Universal Studios Singapore, confirmed in July 2026 as part of the Greater Sentosa Master Plan. No opening date has been announced yet, with TimeOut reporting the land is expected by 2030.

What was actually announced

The confirmation came through the Greater Sentosa Master Plan, the government's blueprint for how Sentosa develops over the next two decades, unveiled in early July 2026. Universal Studios Singapore confirmed the Nintendo land as part of it. That is the full extent of the official news for now: it is happening, and specific details and opening dates are still under wraps. The same master plan also covers new hotels, rejuvenated beaches and a People Mover System to replace the Sentosa Express, so the whole island is getting reworked around it.

What rides to expect

Nothing is confirmed for Singapore yet, but the other Super Nintendo Worlds give a clear picture. Japan, Hollywood and Orlando all run Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, an augmented reality racing dark ride, and Yoshi's Adventure, a slow ride through Mushroom Kingdom. Osaka and Orlando also have a Donkey Kong Country zone with the Mine-Cart Madness coaster. Every version starts the same way: you walk in through the green warp pipe and come out facing Princess Peach's castle. Expect Toadstool Cafe too, with the Mario burgers and the question-block tiramisu.

Will the queues really be that bad

Almost certainly, at least at the start. Japan's version was so packed at opening that entry to the land itself needed timed passes on busy days, on top of the park ticket. The power-up bands, wristbands that let you punch the glowing question blocks and collect digital coins, are also a separate purchase at the other parks. If 2030 feels far away, Singapore is not short of new attractions in the meantime: the Minecraft Experience at Mandai is already open, and there is plenty more on the blog.
