At Subdued's first Singapore store, which opened at Wheelock Place on 10 April 2026, most bottoms run $70 to $100 and up, and hoodies start at $84. That was the run-down from our reel, filmed with the caption "maybe I'm too broke for this", and the price tags in it are the whole story. Subdued is an Italian label aimed at teenagers, and the prices are aimed at their parents.
Grey star-patch sweatpants on the rail were in the $70 to $100 range. The cable-knit jumpers and the striped V-necks sat in the same band. Hoodies, including the varsity-script ones, started at $84 and went up. The star-print hoodie that every girl in the store was holding was above that. For a brand whose customer is fifteen, that is a full week of pocket money per item.
Since the reel, Subdued has started work on a second Singapore store at Bugis+, which tells you the Wheelock prices did not scare anyone off.
The knits are decent quality for the money and the fits are the cottagecore-adjacent look that is everywhere on TikTok right now, which is the point. The sweatpants are the weak buy: $70 plus for grey fleece with a star sewn on is paying for the label. If you are shopping for a teenager, one hoodie is a fair present. A full outfit is not.
· Wheelock Place is the first store, at the Orchard MRT end of Orchard Road. Bugis+ is coming.
· Hoodies from $84, bottoms $70 to $100 and up. Budget before you walk in with a teenager.
· The knits are the buy. The sweatpants are the label tax.
· Weekend afternoons are wall to wall. Weekday after school is calmer.
