Student Deals in Singapore 2026: 11 Discounts Checked (Food, Transport, Attractions)

The three best student deals in Singapore right now are GV's $7 all-day weekday movie ticket, Jack's Place's $8 nett weekday set meal, and the $49 Monthly Concession Pass that covers unlimited basic bus and train rides for diploma and secondary students. We checked the 11 deals below on each brand's own page or poster on 15 October 2026; GV's page was not reachable, so that one rests on its poster.

Student food deals running now

Four weekday meals, cheapest first. Most of them end before dinner, so they suit a free afternoon, not a 7pm plan. For the full food list, including Nando's, Eighteen Chefs and a student buffet, see our student food deals guide.

1. Jack's Place, $8 nett. Student Set Meal, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, dine-in only, excluding public holidays and special occasions. Nett means $8 is the final bill. 12 participating outlets, by the promo post's outlet tags. No end date shown on their promotions page, checked 15 Oct 2026.

2. Yoshinoya, $8.50. One bowl plus one drink, Monday to Friday. Dessert is $3 more. The only source is Yoshinoya's homepage banner, which lists no student-card rule, outlet scope or end date. Every Yoshinoya in Singapore is MUIS halal-certified, which makes this the easy pick for a mixed group. No end date shown, checked 15 Oct 2026.

3. Swensen's, from $8.80. One main plus a soft drink or soup, dine-in, Monday to Friday, 11am to 4.30pm, not on public holidays or their eves. Flash your student pass before you order, one meal per pass. The price is before GST and service charge. While stocks last, by Swensen's, checked 15 Oct 2026.

4. Hot Tomato, $10.50 to $14.50 nett. Student Lunch Special on weekdays, 11am to 5.30pm, with a free lemon iced tea, lime juice or Coke. Five mains, from carbonara to NZ grass-fed sirloin. No end date shown, checked 15 Oct 2026.

Transport: student fares and the monthly pass

5. Student fares on the MRT and buses. With a School Smart Card, ITE or Diploma Student Concession Card, a train ride costs at most 78 cents, and tapping in before 7.45am on weekdays (not public holidays) drops it to between 2 and 28 cents. Basic bus rides run 52 to 78 cents. These are SimplyGo's fares as updated on 27 December 2025, checked 15 Oct 2026.

6. Monthly Concession Pass. Unlimited basic bus and train rides for a month (express services still charge). The Hybrid pass is $49 for secondary and diploma students, $39 for primary, and $81 for undergraduates. Train-only is $26.50 for secondary and diploma, $48 for undergraduates, $21 for primary. Diploma students at the five polys, ITE (Diploma), BCA Academy, LASALLE and NAFA apply for the card in the March to May or July to August exercise. The card costs $8.10. Undergraduate card holders pay adult fares on rides without a pass, so for uni students the pass is the whole deal. checked 15 Oct 2026.

Movies, museums and galleries

7. GV, from $7 a ticket, all day. Monday to Friday only, and only at GV Bedok, City Square, Grand, Katong, Funan, Bishan, Paya Lebar, Tampines, Downtown East and Cineleisure. We flagged GV in our 2026 student deals part 1. The poster is undated and GV's page was not reachable when we checked on 15 Oct 2026, so confirm at the box office.

9. National Museum of Singapore, free permanent galleries. Free for all students, staff and teachers from local government and aided schools, ITE, JCs, polys, NAFA, LASALLE and the universities, whatever your nationality. Non-citizen, non-PR students from private schools pay the concession rate; citizens and PRs follow the standard resident ticket. No end date shown, checked 15 Oct 2026.

Music: Spotify and Apple Music student plans

10. Spotify Premium Student, $6.48 a month. First month free if you have never tried Premium. You must be over 18 at an eligible higher-education institution, verified through SheerID, for up to four years. checked 15 Oct 2026.

11. Apple Music Student, S$6.48 a month. First month free for new subscribers, and Apple TV comes with it. When we listed it in June it was $5.98, so it has gone up 50 cents. checked 15 Oct 2026.
