Coca-Cola and 100Plus both got 11 out of 10, A&W Root Beer got 9, Pepsi 7 and Kickapoo 6, and one commenter called it "genuinely the worst ranking I've ever seen". That is part 1 of our soft drink ratings, and the caption confession that started it is that some of us mix Coke with ice lemon tea. This is an opinion post. Nobody is going to change your mind about Pepsi.
Coca-Cola, 11/10, and specifically Coke Zero over everything else. 100Plus, 11/10, because nothing in the country hits like a cold one after a run, and the comments agreed loudly. A&W Root Beer, 9/10, on the strength of the float alone; if you have never had one in a frosted mug at an A&W, that is a gap in your life. Pepsi, 7/10, sorry, we still prefer Coke. Kickapoo Joy Juice, 6/10, the yellow can only real ones know, more nostalgia than drink.
The counter-arguments in the comments: 100Plus should be number one outright, green tea should have been in it, Pepsi Zero is a "legend", and Monster should be on top. We hear you. That is what part 2 is for.
Green tea, Pokka and Yeo's, Sprite, Fanta, Monster and Red Bull all missed part 1, and that is the whole reason a part 2 exists. If you want the cheapest way to settle this, the fast food student meals come with a soft drink and cost less than the argument.
· Coke Zero over regular Coke is the hill we will die on. Try it cold enough and you will get it.
· 100Plus is for after exercise. Drinking it at a desk is a waste.
· A&W float in the mug, in the restaurant. The takeaway cup version is not the same drink.
· Kickapoo is still around in kopitiam fridges. Buy one for the can.
