McDonald's Samurai Burger Singapore 2026: Prices and New Sides

McDonald's Singapore brings the Samurai Burger back on 20 August 2026, and this time it lands with a set of new Japanese sides. Special meals start at $10.15 for the single Samurai Beef Burger, and the new bits are Katsu Chicken Tenders from $5.50, a Kyoho Grape Cone from $1.50 and a Strawberry Daifuku Pie from $1.80.

What's on the Samurai menu and what it costs

The teriyaki lineup is the part people already know. Samurai Beef Burger special meals start at $10.15, the double at $12.95, and the Tamago versions with a fried egg in them at $11.45 for either beef or chicken. Seaweed McShaker Fries are back too, from $4.15, or $1.15 to upgrade them inside a meal. If you have not had the seaweed shake before, the powder comes in a sachet and you shake it in the bag yourself, so shake it properly or the bottom third gets all of it. We have written up the last McDonald's Singapore launch worth queueing for if you want to see how these limited runs usually play out.

The three new items, and the one catch

Katsu Chicken Tenders are the headline addition, sold in 3pc and 5pc, and also inside a Happy Sharing Box C with 6pc McNuggets. Dessert gets a Kyoho Grape Cone, which McDonald's describes as a soft serve you can take plain or swirled with vanilla in a chocolate shell, and a Strawberry Daifuku Pie built from mochi, red bean paste and strawberry jam in a pink crust.

The catch is in McDonald's own fine print, and most posts about this leave it out: the Samurai items are available after breakfast hours and while stocks last. The Kyoho Grape Cone is the exception, and runs all day at Dessert Kiosks and participating restaurants. So a 9am Samurai run is not happening.

Samurai IKE, the free game show from 18 to 30 August

McDonald's is running its first Samurai themed Japanese game show alongside the launch, from 18 to 30 August. Three challenges, free to join, and you can walk away with a Kyoho Grape Cone, Seaweed McShaker Fries or Samurai stickers.

The money is on the weekends and the window is narrow. Cash prizes run on 22, 23, 29 and 30 August, 11am to 1pm only. Solo pays $400, $300 and $200 for the top three. Pairs pay $800, $600 and $400. Registration is required through the Samurai page on mcdonalds.com.sg. Listings put the pop-up beside McDonald's Bugis Junction, though McDonald's own page does not name the venue, so register first and take the location from them rather than from a repost.

Good to know

· Prices shown are from prices for special meals. A la carte will be lower, and the app usually has a bundle running on top.

· Nothing Samurai is available during breakfast. Go after the breakfast changeover if you want the burgers or the tenders.

· Want only the Kyoho Grape Cone? A Dessert Kiosk sells it all day and the queue moves far faster than the main counter.

· For the cash prize rounds, the 11am to 1pm window on 22, 23, 29 and 30 August is the whole event. Register before you turn up.
