Apple's first touch screen MacBook Pro, the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display, starts at S$3,999 in Singapore for the 14-inch M5 Pro, and S$4,499 for the 16-inch. Pre-orders open on apple.com/sg on 30 October 2026 and it is in Apple Stores from Friday 6 November. Apple also launched a cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip at S$2,699, which keeps the old screen and has no touch.
These are the prices on Apple's Singapore store on 30 October 2026, GST included, with free delivery.
14-inch, M5 Pro (15-core CPU, 24GB, 1TB): S$3,999
14-inch, M5 Pro (18-core CPU): S$4,249
16-inch, M5 Pro: S$4,499
14-inch, M5 Max: S$6,299
16-inch, M5 Max: S$6,499
The nano-texture glass adds S$225 to any of them. Students and teachers pay S$3,789 for the base 14-inch and S$4,229 for the 16-inch with Apple's education pricing. Both sizes come in Space Black and Silver.
Here is the number that matters. Apple still sells the regular MacBook Pro with the same M5 Pro chip, and on the same store the 14-inch M5 Pro is S$3,499. So the OLED touch screen costs you S$500 more for the same chip. The gap is S$500 at every size and chip. If you are shopping on a phone, our iPhone Duo price guide covers Apple's other big launch this month.
Four things, according to Apple:
A touch screen. The touch sensor is built into the display, so you can scroll, pinch and draw on it. Apple says touch is new to Mac. Apps like Canva, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Lightroom and DaVinci Resolve already support it, with some arriving later this year.
An OLED panel. Apple calls it a tandem OLED, up to 2,000 nits peak, with a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 10Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. The regular MacBook Pro tops out at 1,600 nits and 1,000,000:1. The PROLED also adds Adobe RGB colour on top of P3, which photographers will care about.
Dynamic Island. The notch becomes an iPhone-style island that holds Spotlight, Siri AI and Live Activities.
Less weight. The 14-inch is 1.38kg, against 1.60kg for the regular 14-inch M5 Pro. If it lives in your bag every day, you will feel 220g.

What does not change: battery life is rated at up to 24 hours on both, and both charge to 50% in about 30 minutes. The PROLED has three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SDXC slot, MagSafe and a headphone jack, plus Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
Apple also refreshed the entry MacBook Pro. The 14-inch with the new M6 chip starts at S$2,699 (S$2,559 with education pricing), with 16GB of memory as standard. That is the same starting price the M5 model had on Apple's Singapore store in early October, so you get the new chip for no extra money.
Apple says the M6 has a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, two more cores each than M5, with up to 30% faster graphics and up to 24 hours of battery. It keeps the Liquid Retina XDR screen (mini-LED, no touch) and has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, an SDXC slot and MagSafe. Pre-orders opened on 29 October and it also lands on Friday 6 November.
On an Intel Mac or M1: yes. Apple says the M6 model gets up to 4 more hours of battery than M1 and up to 14 more than Intel. Start with the S$2,699 M6 unless you need the Pro chip.
Photo and video editors: the PROLED is the one. Adobe RGB, 2,000 nits and the deeper blacks are exactly what you pay S$500 for.
On an M4 or M5 MacBook Pro: wait. The chip in the S$3,999 model is still M5 Pro, so the upgrade is the screen and the weight, not speed.
Want touch but not the price: it is only on the PROLED, from S$3,999. There is no touch on the M6 model or the MacBook Air.
