For a halal Christmas dinner in Singapore that is not a hotel buffet, book Epicurean Fusion at 4 Jalan Klapa in Kampong Glam. It is a Muslim-owned restaurant serving halal food (not MUIS certified), with a $38 beef Wellington, a $38 salmon Wellington and a $75 wagyu one. Tables take up to 6 people, and booking is free.
Christmas dinner in Singapore usually means a hotel buffet or a steakhouse, and finding a halal one takes work. A Wellington fixes the centrepiece problem: it looks like an occasion and you cut it at the table.
The classic version wraps the beef in prosciutto, which is why halal Wellingtons are rare here. We explained that in our halal beef Wellington piece. At Epicurean Fusion, every Wellington is listed at 20 minutes, so order it first. For the rest of the menu, see our Epicurean Fusion guide.
Beef Wellington, $38. The default, and the one to start with.
Salmon Wellington, $38. Same price, same 20 minutes, for the person who does not eat beef.
Wagyu Beef Wellington, $75. The Christmas splurge. One of these for the table to share is the move, not one each.
The drinks list is coffee, juices and soft drinks, with no alcohol on the menu.
For 2, about $104: Burrata Salad ($18), one beef and one salmon Wellington ($76), and a Tiramisu Mousse Cake ($10).
For 4, about $185: Epicurean Platter ($36), two beef Wellingtons ($76), a Burrata Pesto pizza ($28), Butter Chicken Gnocchi ($25) and two Panna Cotta ($20).
For 6, about $320: two Epicurean Platters ($72), three beef Wellingtons ($114), one wagyu Wellington ($75), an Epicurean Cheese Steak pizza ($33) and Al Cartoccio seafood linguine ($26).
All before drinks. Six is the most one booking takes, so split bigger families across two tables.
