Eventful Tables charges a restaurant S$1 for each diner who actually sits down. That is the whole price. There is no monthly fee, no setup fee, and nothing to pay when you sign up. If a booking does not turn up, or the guest cancels, you are charged nothing for it. Restaurants that give Eventful their bookings on their own, with no other platform, pay 50 cents a diner instead.
One dollar per seated diner. A table of four that sits down costs you four dollars. A table of four that never turns up costs you nothing.
That is it. We do not take a cut of the bill, so a big spender and a small spender cost you the same. We do not charge you to be listed, we do not charge you a monthly fee, and we do not charge you to leave. If you want to see the diner side of this first, our plain guide to how Eventful Tables works walks through what your guests see.
Your bill adds up quietly in the background. Nothing is charged until it reaches S$50.
Once you cross S$50 we charge your card once and email an itemised bill and a receipt to whoever handles your money. If you have not reached S$50 by the end of a period, nothing is charged and the amount simply rolls forward.
The charge runs twice a month, on the 1st and the 16th, for the two weeks that just ended. A small place doing a handful of Eventful tables a week might go a whole month without a charge. That is fine and it is meant to work that way.
Every diner is on it. Date, time, the guest's name, how many people, and what that table cost you. You can open it on your phone or download the whole thing.
There are only two lines that move the number. The first is diners seated times your rate. The second is coins.
Eventful Coins are the credit your guests build up with us. When a guest pays part of their bill with coins, that is our money, not yours, so we take it off what you owe. It shows on your bill as a line called coins we pay back.
Card or GIRO bank debit. Both are set up once and both can be changed later from your own console.
If you use a card, the number goes straight to Stripe. We never see it and it is never stored on our side. If you are part of a group and your finance team would rather settle by invoice, that can be arranged in your agreement instead of an auto charge.
· Work out your own number before you sign anything: one dollar against your average spend per head. On a $40 head that is 2.5 percent. On a $12 head it is a lot more, so decide if the extra covers is worth it.
· Only seated diners count. If you are worried about people booking and vanishing, that risk is on us, not you.
· Your rate is per diner, not per booking, so a big table costs more than a small one. It also fills more of your room.
· Nothing is charged the day you sign up. The first charge comes only after your real diners have added up past S$50.
S$1 for each diner who sits down and is marked as paid in the merchant console. There is no monthly fee, no setup fee and no listing fee. Restaurants who give Eventful their bookings on their own, with no other booking platform, pay S$0.50 per seated diner instead and get one piece of content from Eventful every month.
No. The fee is a flat amount per seated diner, so it does not change with how much the table spends. A $300 table and a $60 table cost the restaurant exactly the same.
No. Only diners who actually sit down are billed. A no-show costs the restaurant nothing, and so does a cancellation.
Twice a month, on the 1st and the 16th, for the period that just ended. Nothing is charged while your total is under S$50. Under that, the amount rolls into the next period.
There is a partner agreement to sign, and there is no minimum spend and no exit fee. The one thing that is fixed is in your favour: if you are one of the First 100 Partners, your S$1 rate is locked for a year from the day you sign up and can only go down.
Nobody at Eventful. Cards go straight to Stripe from your own billing page and are stored there. You can also pay by GIRO bank debit instead.
