Banh Mi Khong (we spelled it Banh Mi Kong in our post) was a small Vietnamese banh mi shop at 40 Arab Street that sold a $2.80 banh mi from 11am to 1pm daily when we featured it in March 2025. On 8 December 2025 it said it was closing that shop to move somewhere bigger, and as of 1 October 2026 it has not said where.

The shop writes its name Bánh Mì Không?, question mark included. It baked its bread fresh every day, and the lunch deal was the reason we went: a $2.80 banh mi, 11am to 1pm only.
On 8 December 2025 it posted that it was temporarily closing at 40 Arab Street, to come back at a more suitable location with more space for customers. No new address yet. If you miss it, follow @banhmikhongsg, because that is where the reopening will land first.
We filmed it with one line on screen: this place sells $2.80 authentic banh mi????. The video ran across TikTok, Instagram and Lemon8 and passed 289,000 views between them, with the biggest version at 176,400 plays.
Then the queue showed up. By our count, 612 customers walked in off that single post, and our recap puts the jump in customers at 800%. The shop posted its own video of the crowd with a thank-you, plus an honest note that it was still training staff to keep up. That is about the best review a small shop can give.
It is the same thing we are now trying to do on purpose with our plan to help 100 Singapore restaurants go viral.

The price did the work. Nobody needs convincing to try a $2.80 sandwich, so the caption only had to say the number and show the bread.
The shop then had to deliver, and the crowd in its own videos says it did. A post can bring people to the door once. Whether they come back is the food's job.
Short and honest: if you have food and service you are proud of, we do features like this one. Start at eventful-sg.com/advertise, or DM @eventful_sg the word FEATURE on Instagram. Every post lands differently, so we never promise a number.
