Makan Pets Characters: All 6 Pets, Their Besties and Their Enemies

The six Makan Pets, one line each

Shiok Sambal basically loves spicy and jelak food. Aircon Angel eats everywhere, but also must have aircon. Big Bao probably eats waaay too much. Broccoli Beast is a gym bro who counts calories and protein. Kiasu King has the best deals and makes reservations a month in advance. Atas Auntie does not mind paying for good food and always treats her friends.

That is the whole carousel in six lines. How the quiz itself works, scene by scene, is in our first Makan Pets piece. This one is about the cast, and specifically about who should never share a table.

The three bestie pairs

Here is the bit nobody points out: every bestie pick is mutual. The six pets pair off cleanly.

Shiok Sambal and Big Bao. Two maximalists, one glorious table. From Big Bao's side, you bring the appetite and they bring the fire.

Aircon Angel and Atas Auntie. Pretty places, cold air, zero compromise. Golden hour tables and matching standards.

Kiasu King and Broccoli Beast. Both of you did the math before ordering. One counts dollars, the other counts grams of protein, and neither judges the other's order.

The three feuds

The enemies are mutual too, and each feud is a real argument you have heard at a dinner table.

Shiok Sambal versus Aircon Angel. You want sambal, they want sweater weather. One will drag the other to a sweaty mala joint.

Kiasu King versus Atas Auntie. To Kiasu King, Atas Auntie's $25 cai fan would end the savings streak. To Atas Auntie, Kiasu King is the one asking for a discount on the codfish.

Big Bao versus Broccoli Beast. Round nine at the buffet scares the meal plan, and free flow does not fit the meal plan at all.
