Upper Thomson is a prata, zi char and late-night noodle road, with a mall at one end and a hawker centre at the other. This guide lists 14 places in the order you meet them, starting at Upper Thomson MRT on the Thomson-East Coast Line and Thomson Plaza beside it.

From the station the list goes south down the Upper Thomson Road shophouses around number 246, then north up the road to Casuarina Road, Sembawang Hills Food Centre and Jalan Kuras, and finishes at Sin Ming, which is closer to Bright Hill MRT. The road is long, so take a bus between the two ends rather than walking it.

Four places here are on MUIS's halal list, marked on each entry. Hours come from each venue's own site where they publish them, checked on 15 October 2026. Several of the best-known stalls do not post hours anywhere, so we say so rather than guess.

The list

1. Sanook Kitchen

OPENThomson Plaza #01-104/105, 301 Upper Thomson Road

Thai comfort food in the mall right next to the MRT, and halal-certified on MUIS's list. The clear tom yum seafood pot is the dish to share. Their site gives 11am to 10pm, with no days listed, so it covers a late dinner too.
