Serangoon Gardens eats in two shifts: bakeries, cafes and the market food centre by day, then Chomp Chomp's satay, wings and Hokkien mee by night. This guide lists 14 places in that order, from a 7.30am bakery breakfast to a 24-hour prata shop, all within a short walk of the estate's central roundabout.

There is no MRT station inside the estate. The nearest are Lorong Chuan on the Circle Line and Serangoon on the North East and Circle lines, then a short bus or Grab ride in. The shops sit on Serangoon Garden Way, Maju Avenue and Kensington Park Road, with the myVillage mall at 1 Maju Avenue and Chomp Chomp on Kensington Park Road.

Hours below come from each venue's own site, checked on 15 October 2026, and halal status from the MUIS directory on the same day. Hawker stalls rarely post hours online, so those entries tell you when to go rather than quoting times we cannot back up.

The list

1. Baker and Cook

OPEN87 Serangoon Garden Way

Bread, pastries and an all-day cafe menu from 7.30am. Their own locations page has the weekday close at 5pm and later evenings Friday to Sunday, so this is a breakfast and lunch spot on weekdays. Take a loaf home on the way out.
