Clementi eats in two places: the hawker blocks around Clementi MRT, led by Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre three minutes from the station, and Sunset Way, a quiet row of restaurants and cafes about 15 minutes' walk south-east. Do the MRT side for cheap lunches and Sunset Way for a sit-down dinner.
This guide starts at 448, the market that reopened in mid-2026 after a renovation, then moves through the blocks around the MRT and ends on Sunset Way. One stall here, Song Fish Soup, was on Michelin's Bib Gourmand list when we checked.
We checked hours and addresses on 15 October 2026 against each venue's own site or socials, Michelin's listings, NEA's hawker centre list or JTC's stall list. Where a stall publishes nothing, the entry says so.

The market's Bib Gourmand stall when we checked in October 2026. One job, fish soup, done well enough for Michelin to notice. Go before the lunch rush if you can.
The beef hor fun stall people come to 448 for. Wok-fried rice noodles in an eggy gravy, with beef or sliced fish. Ask for extra chilli on the side.
Cheap pork satay with a thick peanut sauce, three minutes from the MRT. Listings show it opening late morning, so do not come for breakfast. Order more sticks than you think you need.
A coffee shop that calls itself Muslim-friendly on its own Instagram, so it suits a mixed group. Kopi, chicken rice and Malay hawker plates under one roof, seven minutes from the MRT. Check each stall's own certificate if it matters to you.
NEA lists Blk 726 Clementi West Street 2 as closed for repairs and redecoration from 14 Sep to 27 Dec 2026. NEA's announcements page has the dates.

Springleaf's Sunset Way outlet, the prata place that takes inventions seriously. Their own site says they are halal caterers; the restaurant makes no separate halal statement. It lists this branch open from 8am to midnight. Get one plain prata next to whatever new creation is on the menu.
Hainanese-Western food, the old-school kind with chops and brown sauce. A family-run Sunset Way name though its company record showed a cancellation in progress in September 2026, so call 6224 9928 before you go. Go for dinner with someone who misses the Western food of the 80s.
Live seafood since 1982, per their own site. Today it is the big group dinner on Sunset Way: crab, lobster and their charcoal-roasted suckling piglet, which their site says has limited stock. Book ahead for the piglet.
A Sunset Way Western and Italian restaurant that says it has been here since 2009. Pasta and Western mains in a cosy room. A good date-night pick when you do not want to go into town.
Hong Kong-style dim sum, with zi char added for lunch and dinner, per their own posts. Their Instagram bio gives the unit as #01-50. Good for a weekend family dim sum.
Turkish food on Sunset Way, which its Instagram bio calls an authentic Turkish restaurant. It makes no halal statement on its own pages.
