The best food in Bukit Timah sits along four Downtown Line stops, and these 17 places run in that order: Beauty World (DT5), King Albert Park (DT6), Sixth Avenue (DT7) and Tan Kah Kee (DT8). Beauty World is the cheap, busy end, with two hawker centres and late prata on Cheong Chin Nam Road.

One thing older guides miss: the old Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre at Blk 51 Upper Bukit Timah Road closed at the end of September 2024, and NEA lists it as closed for redevelopment until around 2029. Most of its hawkers moved a short walk away to the interim market and food centre at 2A Jalan Seh Chuan.

Hawker stalls here keep their own hours and many close one or two days a week. Where a stall does not publish its hours, we say so rather than guess. Every entry was checked against the venue's own site, its own social pages or its business listing in October 2026.

The list

1. Bukit Timah Interim Market & Food Centre

OPEN2A Jalan Seh Chuan, Singapore 599213 · Nearest MRT: Beauty World (DT5)

This is where most of the old Bukit Timah Food Centre hawkers went when the Blk 51 building closed in 2024. It is a temporary block a short walk from Beauty World station, with the wet market and the cooked food stalls under one roof.
