Bugis has quietly become the launch pad for every big food opening in Singapore. Chick-fil-A picked it for their first outlet, the Sidemen picked it for SIDES, and half the pop-ups we cover end up at the Bugis+ atrium.
We have covered this neighbourhood a lot on @eventful_sg, so here is the shortlist: the places around Bugis MRT we would actually send a friend to, with links to our original coverage of each one.
1. Chick-fil-A
OPEN NOWBugis+
The first Chick-fil-A in Singapore opened here in December 2025 and pulled some of the wildest queues we have filmed. Our honest verdict after trying the menu: pretty damn good, like a cleaner take on fast food, though it costs a bit more than the usual chains. The queues have calmed down since opening, so 2026 is the time to go.
2. SIDES by the Sidemen
OPEN NOWBugis+, #03-25/26
The Sidemen's fast food brand chose Bugis+ for its Singapore debut in June 2025. Tenders, waffle fries and shakes are the core, and credit where due: they listened to early feedback, adjusted prices and kept adding local specials like a nasi lemak with classic tenders. A second outlet at Resorts World Sentosa has been announced too.
3. Big Fish Small Fish
OPEN NOWBugis Junction
Reliable fish and chips right in Bugis Junction. They run aggressive promos more often than most, including a 50 percent off everything day and a breakfast menu deal we covered, so it pays to check what is on before you order full price.
4. LiHO TEA Thai Tea Series
OPEN NOWBugis+
When LiHO launched their first ever Thai tea series in February 2026, Bugis+ was one of the three soft launch outlets. The Thai tea smoothie was the standout for us. The series has since gone islandwide, but this outlet had it first.
5. Smashed
OPEN NOW21 Baghdad Street
A ten minute walk from the MRT into the Haji Lane area gets you to Smashed, a small smash burger joint we have been thinking about since we tried it. Come at off-peak hours, the shop is tiny.
6. Golden Moments Durian Buffet
SEASONAL, ON NOW779 North Bridge Road
About ten minutes from Bugis MRT, Golden Moments runs a premium durian buffet with free-flow Black Thorn, D1 Ganghai and D13 Golden Bun plus durian desserts. Durian season is peaking right now, which makes this the best time of year to book it.
7. Resurrack Vintage Market
EVERY WEEKEND261 Victoria St, Bugis Street Art Lane
Not food, but it is the reason to make Bugis a full afternoon: Singapore's biggest vintage market runs every weekend from 3pm to 9pm, with themed editions once a month. Browse first, eat after.
What is on at Bugis on weekends?
Resurrack vintage market runs every weekend from 3pm to 9pm at Bugis Street Art Lane, and the Bugis+ atrium hosts rotating pop-ups. From 21 August to 5 September 2026 the Singapore Night Festival also lights up the Bras Basah.Bugis district.
