Where to Go With Friends in Singapore (2026): 10 Group Plans

For groups of 4 to 10, the three best plans in Singapore are a charcoal buffet at Family Mookata ($19.90 nett a head, up to 20 per booking), a late night at Satay Street by Lau Pa Sat (open to 3am), and a cycling day on Pulau Ubin ($4 boat each way). Below are 10 group plans with prices, plus how to get one table for everyone.

The hard part of a group plan is never the activity. It is getting eight people to agree. Pick one of these, send one link, and make the dinner booking before anyone can suggest somewhere else. For dinner only, our group dining guide for tables of 6, 10 or 20 goes deeper.

1. Cycling on Pulau Ubin
Where: bumboats from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. Hours: boats run on demand 6am to 7pm and usually leave when about 12 people are on board. Price: $4 per person each way, plus $2 for a bicycle. Best for: 4 to 10 people who are fine with sweat.

A group of 10 nearly fills a boat on its own,. Rent bikes in the main village and agree a meeting point before anyone rides off.

2. East Coast Park
Where: East Coast Park. Hours: park open 24 hours; Xtreme SkatePark in Area F 7.30am to 10pm. Price: free.

Bring a mat and a cooler, claim a patch near the water, and let people drift between cycling and lying down. Zero planning needed.

3. A Sentosa beach day
Where: Sentosa. MRT: HarbourFront. Getting in: free on foot across the Sentosa Boardwalk; the Sentosa Express is $4 from VivoCity and free between island stations. Price: beaches are free.

Walk in, swim, and only pay for food. Our Sentosa food guide covers 22 places to eat by zone.

4. Canopy Park at Jewel
Where: Level 5, Jewel Changi Airport. MRT: Changi Airport. Hours: Monday to Thursday 10am to 9pm, Friday to Sunday, eves and public holidays 10am to 10pm, last admission 30 minutes before closing. Price: $8, or $6 for Singapore residents. The mazes, Walking Net and Bouncing Net cost extra.

Good for a mixed group where half are kids at heart and half want coffee. The garden and slides cost little; let the keen ones pay for the nets.

5. Satay Street at Lau Pa Sat
Where: Lau Pa Sat, 18 Raffles Quay. MRT: Downtown. Hours: the market is open 24 hours; Satay Street on Boon Tat Street runs weekdays 7pm to 3am, weekends 3pm to 3am. Halal status: varies by stall. Best for: groups that eat late.

Order satay by the dozen for the table, then let everyone wander the hawker stalls inside for the rest. Nobody has to agree on a cuisine.

6. Free shows at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre
Where: Esplanade, Marina Bay. MRT: Esplanade. Hours: free shows on the Concourse almost daily, and at the Outdoor Theatre on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Price: free. Best for: a cheap Friday.

Sit on the steps as a group with drinks from the nearby shops and the bay behind the stage. It feels like a gig and costs nothing.

7. Garden Rhapsody then Spectra
Where: Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay. MRT: Gardens by the Bay (TE22) Exit 1, or Bayfront Exit B. Hours: shows at 7.45pm and 8.45pm most nights, with special editions around Christmas; outdoor gardens open 5am to 2am. Price: free. Then Spectra at Marina Bay Sands at 9pm. MBS swaps in special editions on some nights, check its page. Best for: friends visiting from overseas.

Two free shows in one evening. Do Gardens by the Bay first at 7.45pm, then walk to the Marina Bay Sands waterfront for 9pm.
