Watsons put a claw machine on the shop floor at Takashimaya from 23 to 29 March 2026, and a $35 spend on participating brands bought you a go at FIFA World Cup 2026 match tickets. The $20 receipt draw for final tickets ran alongside it.
It ran until 29 March 2026. We keep the page up because people still search for it and the details are worth having, but do not make the trip on the strength of this article. For what is actually on right now, see things to do this weekend.
Because a QR code does not make anyone stop walking. A claw machine in the middle of a Watsons on Orchard Road does. It turned a receipt-upload promo into something with a physical queue and a crowd watching each attempt, which is worth more to a sponsor than the tickets cost. The full mechanics of the receipt draw, the brand list and the dates are in our Watsons World Cup ticket draw explainer.
Assorted match tickets rather than final tickets. The final tickets were the prize for the $20 receipt draw, which is the part people had backwards at the stand. So the claw machine was the lower-tier prize with the higher spend threshold and the better story, and the draw was the higher-tier prize with the lower threshold and no spectacle at all. If you were spending anyway, you did both.
The roadshow ran 23 to 29 March 2026 and is finished. Watsons runs a sponsor roadshow at Takashimaya several times a year, so the format will come back, but the World Cup mechanic was tied to the tournament and will not.
· The claw machine needed $35 in a single receipt. The main draw only needed $20.
· Roadshow-only mechanics do not work at other Watsons outlets. You had to be at Takashimaya.
· Ask staff to show you an attempt before you commit. Claw tension varies by machine and they know it.
· Watsons Takashimaya is at #B2-06 to 10, 391 Orchard Road, on the basement two level.
