Our five picks for May 2026 were Weekend Brew Club (9 to 16 May), the Pompompurin cafe at Japan Rail Cafe (4 May to 14 June), the Cheese Wonder pop-up at ION Orchard (from 8 May), Night at Orchard (29 to 31 May) and Boutiques Singapore at the F1 Pit Building (15 to 17 May). All five have ended. Here is what each was, with the prices, so you know what to expect when they come back.
Two editions: Kim Keat Palm in Toa Payoh on 9 and 10 May, 9am to 3pm, then Bras Basah Complex on 15 and 16 May, 1pm to 7pm. A free-flow coffee buffet with a takeaway mug, DJ sets and old school games, with the ticketed perks unlocked by a $5 minimum spend at the participating stalls. We gave away tickets to the Toa Payoh edition and wrote it up in full in our Weekend Brew Club guide.
Japan Rail Cafe at Guoco Tower (5 Wallich Street, #01-20) ran a Pompompurin Tohoku Trip pop-up from 4 May to 14 June for the character's 30th birthday. Pompompurin Curry Rice was $22.90++, Inaniwa Udon $18++, the pudding parfait $12.90++, and every order came with a piece of merch, which is why the queue was families at 11am.
Cheese Wonder, the Hokkaido no-bake cheesecake with three hour queues in Japan and Hong Kong, opened its first Singapore pop-up at ION Orchard B4 on 8 May, 10am to 10pm or until sold out. Three items only: the four piece Cheese Wonder set, the Wonder Sand cookie set, and the seasonal Cheese Wonder Red. Sold out most days before lunch.
Night at Orchard, by Invade, took over the walkway outside Ngee Ann City from 29 to 31 May, 3pm to 10pm, with around 20 local and regional brands and a few food booths. Free entry, and the reason to go was labels you do not see in malls. It runs a few times a year; the organiser's page at orchardroad.org lists the next one.
Boutiques Singapore filled the F1 Pit Building from 15 to 17 May with over 300 designers and brands. Tickets were $8 on Friday, $10 on Saturday and Sunday, $19 for a three day pass, kids under 12 free. Friday 11am was the quiet slot. For what is on this month, see our weekend guide.
