The plan for National Day night

Our slides laid out the evening. Live performances, led by busker Jeff Ng, were listed for 8 August from 7.30pm and 9 August from 6.30pm. On 9 August you could watch the NDP fireworks over Marina Bay from the Flyer's waterfront, and the bazaar stayed open till 1am, so supper came after.

Which stalls we flagged

The food slide was headlined "the usual amazing food", and it showed Quicky, a thick toast stall, Jongga and Ministry of Spud's loaded potato. Fair warning: these were the familiar bazaar names, not a new line-up. That is the point of a National Day bazaar. You go for the crowd and the setting, and the food is the comfort part.

The Flyer was also running an August Babies 1-for-1 that month, two rides for $40, covered in our August Babies article.

What happened next: the 2026 edition

The Flyer brought Street Eats Under The Stars back for a third edition, 5 to 10 August 2026 at the Waterfront Promenade, 3pm to 10pm daily with free entry. It added a day after the 2025 response, ran a stamp card challenge around the precinct, and screened the 2026 National Day Parade free at its Greek Theatre on 9 August. That edition has ended too.
